There's very few times of the year when there isn't an element of stress on our turf which can limit performance.
What if we could change how the plant responds to stress to make turf management that little bit easier?
I'll be looking at that @GroundsFest on Wednesday at 2pm!
We're exhibiting at @GroundsFest and supporting the @BIGGALtd education programme with a presentation from @PhilColl_ICL .
On Wednesday 16 September at 2pm in Hall 1, Phil will present "Change your turf's response to stress", exploring practical approaches to managing stress and supporting turf health under challenging conditions.
Turf stress remains one of the key challenges facing turf managers, with factors such as heat, drought, wear and intensive maintenance all influencing playing surface performance throughout the season.

⏰ Time to order LTAP ⏰
➡️ turf.syngentaturflandscape.c…
#Greenkeeper International has landed. The September issue highlights the increased risk of #leatherjacket damage to turf already stressed by the summer heat.
There’s still time to order your Leatherjacket Total Approach Pack (#LTAP) of #Acelepryn and #NemaTrident beneficial nematodes for the autumn.

Last chance to secure your Leatherjacket Total Approach Pack (LTAP) the order window closes this Friday, 4th September.
For turf managers planning their autumn leatherjacket strategy, this is the last opportunity to place an order ahead of the treatment period.
The LTAP brings together Acelepryn and NemaTrident F beneficial nematodes as part of an integrated approach to leatherjacket management, with application timing an important consideration for effective control.

The rain has returned, but is the moisture reaching the rootzone?
After prolonged dry conditions, water can often sit on the surface rather than infiltrating effectively, limiting the benefit of recent rainfall and increasing the risk of moisture loss through evapotranspiration.
Getting moisture back into dry rootzones is an important part of recovery. Qualibra helps water penetrate the soil profile before holding moisture deeper and more evenly within the rootzone, supporting more effective use of rainfall and irrigation as turf recovers.

Great video! ⤵️ Now we're getting a little rain, Sean explains how, without Qualibra, that little bit of rain will NOT be doing what we want it too.
Why doesnt science get more airtime on this topic?
Its a topic of great interest but the stories get the spotlight more often than the research.
Perhaps its because their more alluring than fact?
Stop overthinking soil biology!

Be ready for when the rain returns....
A lot of wider areas of turf are suffering with this year's drought and reliable recovery will be needed.
You can trust Qualibra to rewet surfaces quickly and effectively to support long lasting re-establishment.
When the rain returns, make every drop count.
These images show turf at Day 70 of drought stress and again at Day 86 following rainfall. While both areas experienced significant drought pressure, the Qualibra-treated turf shows visibly stronger recovery once rain returns.
Qualibra helps re-wet dry soil and improve water penetration and distribution through the rootzone, supporting quicker turf recovery following drought stress.
With autumn recovery programmes approaching, it can also help create the moisture conditions needed for faster seed germination.

Just under 6 weeks ago every grass plant here was a seed in a bag!
Reacting and managing the ever changing environmental conditions through a grow in is a skill and so it was fantastic to see Paul at Wrexham AFC today and walk the superb surface he and his team have produced!
What a well spoken, genuine and likeable lad.

Comprevo from @SyngentaTurfUK takes a genetic level understanding to upregulate turf to withstand the stresses and strains of heat and drought 👇
Heat, drought and mechanical stress remain some of the most significant challenges facing turf managers throughout the growing season.
During periods of heat and drought, maintaining consistent turf quality can be challenging even with well-managed nutrition and irrigation programmes.
@SyngentaTurfUK Comprevo has been developed to support the plant’s natural stress response mechanisms, helping turf better cope with heat, drought and other environmental stresses.
Developed through genomics-led research and field testing, Comprevo is designed to fit within an Integrated Turf Management approach, supporting turf quality and resilience during periods of environmental and operational stress.

Independent fairway research from the NIBIO Turfgrass Research Center in Norway assessed wetting agent performance under prolonged drought stress in cool-season turf.
In the two-year trial, our H2Pro TriSmart recorded the lowest irrigation water requirement, including a 22% reduction versus untreated turf during severe drought conditions in 2024. Qualibra achieved the highest visual turf quality scores during peak drought stress.
