We will celebrate Big Sav’s life in Fairhope AL tomorrow. So grateful for his almost 88 years, very happy that he is finally pain free and in Heaven with his predeceased family, friends and his savior, Jesus Christ. #thankful

Many thanks to @CStewartSports for mentioning Big Sav’s passing during the @AlabamaFTBL radio broadcast last night. Very special and our family is so appreciative of that gesture. 🙏 👊 🫡
Well, Hurricane Isaias blew through the Gulf Coast on Fri night and took Big Sav with him as he passed away yesterday morning. My #1 fan for 55 football seasons, I talked to him in-person or over the phone before every game. I’ll miss that call tomorrow ahead of MNF @RamsNFL 😔
Chose to come to Mobile, practice AND play in @seniorbowl solidifying his status as a Top 5 pick. Went on to a tremendous career @Eagles. Congrats and well done, Lane! 👏🤝👏
My father, Big Sav, is in his last days, so I took these pictures from his Wall of Fame. So many memories, from his days as an All-State player at Murphy HS in Mobile in the 1950’s to Super Bowl XXXV, everything in between and up through Sunday’s @RamsNFL win. A life well-lived!
Thought a lot about Ernie Accorsi since his passing last week. He was the first NFL GM I was ever exposed to back in 1991 and we remained friends for 30+ years. A sage of wisdom and wit, he influenced many in the game. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
Two of the absolute best in the business, a depth of history and understanding of college sports that very few have experienced.
7 years ago today was the premiere of #PackerAndDurham on @accnetwork - always grateful to have partnered with the incredibly talented @MarkPacker starting in 2018 on @SXMCollege & then on TV. Appreciate too, those who remember the fun we had covering the #ACC.
So sorry to see this news. OJ was a champion on and off the field, just a tremendous person with an incredible heart. Sincerest condolences to all of his family and friends.
Reported for training camp yesterday, which will mark the beginning of my 40th football season since graduating @SewaneeTigers. This journey began in July 1987 @AlabamaFTBL and has taken me (and family) north and south as well as coast to coast. So thankful to continue…
Congratulations @SummerTheatreNC - the entire leadership team, company and cast on a brilliant production of “Matilda” in New Canaan CT. So proud of Ever as he develops his stage skills, a real pro at such a young age. A fun summer in Connecticut comes to a successful close!
Just finished “American Coach, The Triumph and Tragedy of Notre Dame Legend Frank Leahy, an excellent read by my friend @Ivan_Maisel. Had the pleasure of playing golf with my fellow #MobileMafia and #MurphyHS alum and he’s truly the preeminent historian of college football.
So far, a summer “by the clock”…at #ShinnecockHills for @usopengolf, in @cityoffairhope for family visit and in #NewCanaanCT for “Matilda” rehearsals. #FaithFamilyFootball
Such a joy and honor to host Scout School for the 13th year in a row this past week. Special thanks @NextgenProspect, @ConnieScouts and @MelKiperESPN and many others for your support of this annual event. So proud of our alums who are scattered all over the NFL and CFB.
Once Luther Vandross sings and the tears dry, it’s on to @TheMasters and then @NFLDraft - love this time of year!
Congrats, Coach Cut! One of the finest people in the game. A true gentleman who elevated his players and coaches at every stop. Well done!

I want to take the time to thank God for preparing me and putting me in this position. To my Mother, Ms. Mary Leisa Fusilier, I know you are smiling down from Heaven. I want to thank my kids, my family, every coach that has coached me, mentored me, or hired me. Thank you also to everyone who has supported me throughout my playing and coaching career. I’m blessed and ready for this new journey. To Coach Paul Reed, Ms. White, Mr. McAfee, and the hiring committee for giving me the opportunity to be the Head Football Coach at @hbcsnewiberia

Always a trip down memory lane when returning to Mobile for @seniorbowl - it’s a full circle moment, from being a kid seeking autographs to coming back as an NFL GM, and of course, as exec director for the game from 2012-18. Long days, short years and still going, so thankful.
Congrats to @seniorbowl and new director @DfabeSB on a productive, successful week! Appreciate the hospitality and access to the players and practices. Most have no idea how much planning, logistical work and attention to detail it takes to pull off this annual event. Well done!
