Another donation to National Search & Rescue Dog Association - Kent. Might not have been a huge amount but an author’s royalty from the sale of each paperback is quite small and @NSARDAKent 's 2 & 4-legged lifesavers deserve all the help that they can get. #SearchDogs #SAR #dogs

It's “International Read An eBook Day! So here's a reminder to parents of children (age 7 yrs+) that my #Kindle book “LEXI AND THE YEAR OF ADVENTURES!”, containing 6 storybooks, is on Amazon UK for only £2.99p! Author’s royalties go to charity #NSARDA. #ReadAnEbookDay #SearchDogs

Thanks @CopMoustache for highlighting the work of the #MountainRescue/#LowlandRescue volunteer search dog handlers + their wonderful 4-legged lifesavers! Your family (age 5 yrs) can learn about search & rescue by watching this animated film/story. youtube.com/watch?v=ftWQZofk… Trailer>
Mouse, Star, Wren, Gill and Sniff All little heroes owned by volunteers who turn out without pay to find and save people, what better way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning 😊 @MRSearchDogsEng

It's International #LiteracyDay. I recall one of my grandchildren telling me they'd seen a schoolfriend #reading one of my books, from the class library! I don't write books to make money for myself. I donate my royalties to charity. Lovely knowing a child is reading my book.

As a children's #author, it can be a struggle to sell books. Last week couldn't give them away #FREE! On Insta I made a "First Come, First Served" offer, of my Book 1, to the first 10 UK #KS2 class teachers to follow + DM me a "yes please!". 0 replies! Last chance schools! #FCFS

Thank you @missingpeople for highlighting the wonderful volunteer search dog handlers and their lifesaving search dogs from both Lowland Rescue + Mountain Rescue. If you have a child (age 5+) the Cert "U" #film "LEXI GETS LOST!" is free to watch on YouTube youtube.com/watch?v=ftWQZofk…
On National Dog Day, we're proud to recognise the incredible working dogs who help find vulnerable missing people and bring hope to families when they need it most. An estimated 4 in every 10 people living with dementia will go missing at some point, often unintentionally. Working alongside police and emergency services, Lowland Search and Rescue's trained volunteers help locate missing people, and their expertise can make all the difference in bringing people home safely. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated search dogs and volunteers at @lowlandrescue for their tireless work, commitment, and partnership in helping to keep people safe.

My big news for the holidays is that my 6 #childrensbooks are now available in 1 omnibus edition "LEXI AND THE YEAR OF ADVENTURES". IMHO best value on Amazon UK is the Kindle version £2.99p. Author's royalties will be donated to the UK charity @NSARDAKent. #Kindle #SummerHolidays

Bit late to the party reading "Crossing the Line" by @policecommander. This is an excellent book that every adult should read! It's both engaging and thought provoking. What's annoying is that he excels at writing both non-fiction and fiction books - o.k. that's just author envy!

Pleased to receive first royalties (for donation to charity) from my new #childrensbook, a 6 book omnibus edition "Lexi and The Year of Adventures!". Money will go to the Kent Branch of the National #Search & #Rescue #Dog Association (NSARDA). £2.99 for the EBook is a bargain!

The recent recall of these LCD Writing Tablets is a timely reminder to check button battery compartments are secured before giving them to a child. And watch out for loose batteries in packaging. 👉 The risks: capt.org.uk/button-battery-s… 👉 The recall: gov.uk/product-safety-alerts…

It's that time of year again. Sound up and I defy you not to laugh! Needed some respite when stuck on full time bedrest over Christmas thanks to a pesky pressure sore in 2022! @spinalinjuries @backuptrust @sv1 @rossmcwill @rosBIGWRITING @MrEFinch @PaulGarvey4 @MichaelRosenYes

Ok, it looks like I can borrow the Santa outfit so if you are in the Barnsley area and have kids that can’t get out of the house (or even adults) and think they’d like a visit from the bearded one, drop me a DM and I’ll try and sort something 😊👍

One key update in the 2025 Resuscitation Guidelines is a change in how CPR is performed on infants - moving from two-finger compressions to the two-thumb encircling method. Cardiac arrest in infants is rare, but it’s worth taking a moment to be prepared. 👉 Learn more in our updated Paediatric Life Support Guidelines: resus.org.uk/professional-li…

Yesterday the Chinook force came together to remember and celebrate one their truest legends. Maca was my mentor, the wisest man I knew and always had time to offer me guidance and counsel…with a huge dose of humour. 🫡 He was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, and the world lost him a month ago 😔 His very talented son Tom wrote this song for his father and played it at the wake last night on their shared guitar. Sorry the sniffing towards the end, I was literally sobbing my heart out. 💔😢 especially when seeing his beautiful mum Alex’s reaction. 🫶 Could I ask all of you (I’ve checked with Tom) to share this far and wide. I want this wonderful tribute to Maca to go viral in his memory. PLEASE PLEASE SHARE! 🙏 Give Tom a follow too…he’s such an incredible human being. 👊 Instagram thomas.mcdonnell_ @ThomasM1415
