You lie on a ventilator post car crash. How do you feel about no one there if your breathing tube falls out. Staff are working 62 hour weeks, Grossly short staffed. This isn’t any budget. I can’t watch you die. #nhs #nhsstrike NHS pay & benefits? How.
🚨 BREAKING: Nurses across the UK have voted for strike action. RT if you will stand with every single nurse that takes strike action to lift themselves out of poverty. Claps won’t pay the bills. amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/… #EnoughIsEnough
Cutting tax for the rich, cutting wages for those who are working 24/7 to save your life. Seriously? Is it 1980s again, because I feel it must be. When politicians get sick, how do they expect to be treated? Or will they go privately?
Our postal ballot on strike action will now open 6 October. We will urge RCN members working for the NHS in all four countries, on Agenda for Change contracts, to vote in favour of strike action. Read more: bit.ly/3U8hN8q
People of Britain. If you have a coach & an entrepreneurial spirit, just turn up at a train station and pack people on. Sell water. Cost of living is going up, take the opportunity (to my station please). #tfl #tflstrike #RailStrikes #tubestrike #keyworkers #cantworkfromhome #nhs
Some of us *need* to travel to work tomorrow. Well the patients want that anyway. @SouthernRailUK should I camp in London overnight? @TfL @TfLAccess Imagine I was caring for your child. #trainstrikes #tubestrikes #nhsstaff #teleporters #donttravel #canttravel #Icare #wehadpaycuts
#bodyworncameras are coming the #nhs Being on both sides. Black eyes galore, I completely disagree. No one is to be assaulted. Nobody is in a position I could cope with. It’s the most traumatic part of life, NOT a normal situation. In #mentalhealth how does this help paranoia?

Over Covid I learnt PE with Joe Wicks, watched all of Netflix, kept two cats alive and washed myself enough (and wore a mask) to work in ITU, yet stay with the clinically extr. vulnerable. I also sunbathed on scaffolding. One must be transferable? #2021achievements #transferrable
I get basic universal credit… 342ish/month. Due to my mental health & no help, I still pay £127 in CT. Then water, phone, travel, etc. Another £35. My energy bills were £60 & rising. less than £40/week for EVERYTHING. Loo roll or gas. Tampons or food. #fuelpoverty #energybills

As someone who worked on a Covid ITU, up to 62 hours a week, putting two people a shift from my area in body bags, this is offensive in the light of recent events. Were you pretending or mocking us. I was paid £10/hr taxed at 20%. #PartyGate #COVID19 #bojo #ToriesPartied
It seems that my New Years resolutions for 2022 will involve giving up gas, food, fuel, council tax, electricity, clothes, etc. Unless I can pay in 2020s claps. #CostOfLivingCrisis #energycrisis #disabled #GasPrices #Rishikesh #tories #Budget2022 #mentalhealth #richgetricher

‘Positive risk taking’ is problematic Is it ignoring suicidal thoughts? Not attempting to intervene? Taking a chance? Why take risks when you could be increasing safety - with hope, reducing means, mitigating risks, developing distress tolerance and connectedness #SafetyPlan

Our campaigner @hannahcurrie asked for a mental health spokesperson, but we’re still waiting. Mental health needs to be prioritised in the recovery from coronavirus. @BorisJohnson, will you appoint a mental health spokesperson for the next coronavirus press briefing?
In February the Prime Minister @BorisJohnson told me on national television that my suggestion of a mental health spokesperson at the next Coronavirus press briefing was “a very good idea”. I’m still waiting. @MindCharity
