Smooth, fluid LHP w/ good feel for the mound w/ 3-pitch mix for strikes. Throws from a H 3/4 slot w/ repeated AA. Strong lead leg, gets down the mound well generating good extension.

Coaches Grab him while he’s still on the board, toolsy player that plays well up the middle or in corner outfield spots!!
Thank you to the coaches at Bentley University for hosting a great camp. 6.80 60-yard dash. Went 2/4 with a stolen base. Video below includes a home run and a hard hit 2 strike single.

Following up a string of transfers, Northeastern went back to school and picked up a commitment from 2027 LHP Philip Soltes. Read our full report on Soltes, someone who has the ability to be the go-to lefty for the Huskies in the future.

Philip Soltes (‘27,CT) • #Uncommitted LHP, fun to watch work.. Works quick, goes right after guys. Upper 8s FB w/present feel for spin from multiple slots. Comfortably spins it in the zone, ton of feel, competes. Good follow arm here at #BlackBear

Athletic LHP, dynamic and repeatable delivery w/ high leg kick. Creates deception from 3/4 arm slot, especially to LHH. Keeps hitters of balance and flashed ability to get S/M w/ FB & BB. 6Ks through 3IP.
FB: 84-85, T86 mph / 2000 rpm
BB: 68-71 mph / 1800 rpm

Soltes was on attack mode all afternoon. FB was successful in the upper quadrant & dropped in the sweeper for a strike at any time. CH dives to the arm side & kept RHH off balance.
