Uh, my feelings about the Ed Brubaker thing are complicated: 1) Never heard anything about him personally or really interacted with him in the comics industry..so for me to comment on whether these accusations are likely true or not would be me squawking outta my butt. 2) I mean sh*t, I really liked the Winter Soldier stuff…but I also have an elaborate curio cabinet partially filled with some writing & art I like created by people who also have done *yikes* things (and some of the *yikes* things eventually get them kicked out of the cabinet, and others are more mehhhhhh). 3. It is human nature for Brubaker’s colleagues & friends to automatically defend him (even if, in the past, some of these same people have automatically & publicly condemned other accused people who were not their colleagues & friends. Human nature). 4. Most probably, in the end, this is a situation best handled with courts & evidence. There is no “trial by social media”…I mean, sure, there’s a defacto “trial” that takes place in social media regardless, but there shouldn’t be.
