One-click mitigation for php2shell vulnerability:
If you have Cloudflare in front of your PHP website, please login to the dashboard and click this button to make sure you are protected.

This reduces your risk but doesn't fix the vulnerabilities in PHP. We recommend updating PHP to a patched version.

At the 2025 Shopify conference, everyone I met was really positive about how their app was doing. At the same event this year, several people admitted to me that they're no longer growing.
I wanted to know if this is backed by data so I did the research and discovered that things have got harder. The problem is the number of apps is growing more than the amount of new stores, so app companies aren't benefitting from Shopify's success.

After 12 years of driving the same car, I made the switch to my first EV a few weeks ago. Absolutely loving it so far!
Wrapped it in matte PPF myself (way more challenging than expected, but you can’t see the imperfections from a distance 😂) and added a few body mods.
Started with a @Tesla, ended up with a Batmobile 🦇

Melty doesn't make the mashups it shows. Its Terms (§1, §6) say mashups come from outside creators, aren't reviewed or scanned for malware, and run with full access to your PC. The Minecraft-in-Elden-Ring mod is by Tobyn Jacobs.

I drove around 1,900 km last week, about 500 km of which was using @Tesla FSD before it was disabled in France.
I really wish it were approved across the entire EU, because I noticed some interesting changes in my own driving behavior:
1. With FSD enabled, I tend to drive slower than the speed limit.
2. I care less about traffic jams, route changes, and other delays.
3. With FSD disabled, I drive faster and occasionally exceed the speed limit. After driving 1,900 km, it gets tiring, so I find myself wanting to reach my destination faster.
4. With FSD disabled, I got the "driver is tired" warning almost every time after driving for 3–4 hours straight.
It made me realize that FSD doesn't just change how the car drives, it also changes how relaxed and patient I am behind the wheel.
Small chance @elonmusk will see this, but it would be great if cars from FSD-approved countries could automatically fall back to Autosteer when entering a country where FSD isn’t approved.
Right now, a Tesla delivered in France actually has more driver-assistance capabilities while driving in France than my Tesla with FSD does when I cross the border into France.
FSD sometimes really feels like magic. It initially started making room for the van to pass, but the driver flashed their headlights to signal that they would wait instead, and FSD immediately continued driving. 😄

Brain to voice interface 🤯🧠 Just think the words and have them spoken out loud through your device.
Through the VOICE trial, Terry is using his Neuralink implant to help fine-tune a brain-to-voice interface for himself and others who can’t speak. He trained the algorithm first by miming speech as best he could, then by simply thinking the words and hearing them come out in his own natural voice.

Our goal for 2026 was to 3x Laravel Cloud revenue. Already done. On pace to 5x. ✨
I know some companies are growing a lot faster or a lot slower, but here are some of my learnings so far.
Focus on making the product decisively the best in its category. Easy to be distracted from this, and there are no gimmicks or tricks to get around it. The product is either the best option in the space or it's not. Being the "best" is a blend of a lot of factors - technical superiority, features, price, design, and more. Striking the right balance across all of them gets tricky when your customer base or community is really varied (long-tail community users vs. large scaled companies).
A lot of what goes into the above isn't always visible to end users or even other people in the organization. We spent months getting our scale-to-zero tech for app compute and managed queues really dialed in. Can be hard to explain to non-engineering roles why we spent months on this - and even hard to explain to more technical folks why something doesn't ship for months. But the work is hard and it has to be done right. Now it's one of our biggest differentiators and contributes heavily to "decisively being the best product."
I used to think all meetings were dumb. Most still are, to be honest, but a few are helpful - particularly quick pulse checks on the state of projects. Does anything need to be unblocked? What's the goal today / this week? Maintaining urgency and speed in a remote company is really challenging and takes intentional effort every single day.
I spend a lot of time just sitting and thinking about everything. A lot of frantic energy online and nothing of substance or value ever ships. I'd rather make a few really thoughtful moves than throw a bunch of slop at the wall.
X is an even bigger bubble than I realized. On here it feels like everyone is just building devtools for other devs to build more devtools. None of our largest customers are really on X, none are in SF, and none are devtool related. We have a wide variety of really interesting customers building things to solve all sorts of problems you'd never expect, all around the world.
Anyway, back to work. Still a lot to build. 🫡

I need your help: The @stateoflaravel is going spectacular BAD this year. After 2 weeks we don't even have 1k participants.
Please share it (again) if you can.
And please subscribe to be notified the next years. Currently, there are only 300 on the list for the next years...
The State Of Laravel 2026 survey has started!
You can now participate to identify how the ecosystem changed over the past 12 months! This year with a few AI questions: How are others using AI?
Please RT for reach ❤️

Can you please stop killing businesses, @EU_Commission? I get the idea, but the implementation is so bad... You’re driving more businesses out of the EU every month with all these ridiculous rules and administrative burdens.
Actually can’t believe it’s been over 16 years since I started with Laravel 🤯
To this day, I’ve always got a reply whenever I’ve sent an email 🐐
Spent an hour yesterday helping a merchant. They left the first review for a new app 🎉, and it was published 16 hours ago.
I wake up, and the review has been removed by Shopify 😅 Time to file another appeal... I hate having to waste time on this.
@jzazove, can we please get our questions answered? 🙏 It’s been over 30 days, and we haven’t received a single official reply.

Ordered a @Starlink Mini as a backup connection while traveling. Awesome technology, just plug it in, and it works within a minute. 🛰️
This is embarrassing, to say the least 😅 Are they really that clueless about how far the EU is behind?
AI is the most important technology of our time.
Europe wants to become the first AI Continent.
For advanced healthcare, for the transport sector and so much more.
European AI Gigafactories will provide the necessary computing power to make this possible.
Together with our Member States, we are funding their construction with up to €10 billion, which are set to unlock at least €20 billion in private investements across the EU.
Together, we are building our technological sovereignty.

Claiming Europe can become the "AI Continent" with a €10B public investment contrasts sharply with reality.
Big Tech alone has invested over $1 TRILLION in AI infrastructure since 2023 (around 100 times the EU's funding).
