Colbol was the spark plug for Florida’s early Melee scene, and relentless push toward the technical limits of Fox. Based in Orlando originally, he became one of the region’s most recognizable players during Melee’s competitive revival and remained ranked among the top 60 players in the world from 2015 through 2023. He still competes today, continuing to represent Florida and Georgia and add to a career that has lasted through multiple eras of Melee. His 5th-place finish at Apex 2014 was the defining result of his career. After defeating players including Axe and aMSa, Colbol reached the final bracket before falling to Armada; But, not before taking a game off one of the greatest players of all time. The run established Colbol as a Fox could threaten the best in the world. Colbol helped cement Florida as one of Melee’s deepest regions, sharpening his skills against local standouts such as Hungrybox, Plup, and ESAM. He remains a veteran Fox player whose longevity and continued presence connect Florida’s early revival to its modern scene.
