Back in 2020, during the COVID-19 period, there was this guy who was doing online writing. He was doing so well that he even bought a Subaru Outback. The guy was living life lavishly , money was flowing nicely.
He then decided to get married to his long-term girlfriend. They planned for the traditional dowry payment first, followed later by a white wedding .
When the day for the dowry negotiations arrived, he was asked to pay several million shillings. He had the money, but his plan was to use most of it to set up a business for himself and his wife so they could raise their children comfortably. He wanted to either pay a lower amount or pay the dowry in installments.
The girl’s family, led by her father, refused to lower the price or accept payment in installments. So the guy walked away and left her there.
The very next day, he had already bought a piece of land and started working on his dream alone. To this day, the beautiful girl is still at her parents’ home with her father.
Sometimes parents ruin good plans because of greed.
