Search why the election was called midterm. Conservatives purged a part of it and the opinion was that the conservatives are a divided house
The incumbent premier thought it was prime time for calling an election
Imagine Alberta able to 2 million barrels extra to pacific coast
The discount on the Canadian crude to US will lower
It will be double wins - more exports to Asia + smaller discount to US
Money will just flow in from all the directions for both the provinces (BC and AB) as well as for the federal government
Canada’s cheapest barrel just got a friend in Victoria.
British Columbia elected its first Conservative government since 1928, with about 2/3 of the 93 seats.
That matters for the $28 discount on Canadian heavy oil I wrote about.
The barrel is cheap because it has one big buyer, the US, and one pipe to the Pacific, Trans Mountain, already 98% full.
The outgoing government opposed new oil pipelines and locked in the northern tanker ban with Ottawa in July.
The new premier, Lorne Doerkson, welcomed Pacific Link, the 1m b/d pipe to the Vancouver coast, and wants a working group with Alberta and Ottawa.
Today federal Conservatives pushed a bill to scrap the tanker ban, CP reports.
Hear me out: Victoria can’t lift that ban alone. It’s federal law.
What moves is who sits across the table from Alberta.
I’m watching the Pacific Link open season next spring. That’s when producers show whether they’ll pay for the pipe.

As they says in sales- don’t try to sell, be a storyteller
I have found one of the better storytellers on insta. Amazing how he weaves the stories!
A must follow.
Also what an amazing trivia. I knew about Vajra on the Parma Vir Chakra, I knew about Major Somnath Sharma, and I knew about Savitri Khanolkar. I knew the connection!
Brampton is as almost 70% Indian origin people.
Rest are white, Blacks and Filipinos
Patrick Brown keeps winning the mayor election from Conservative Party
At provincial levels, all MPPs are Conservative
At federal level, 5 out of 6 are liberals.
That’s how politics work in Canada. People vote differently at different levels
So as you read BC’s election result, remember Carney would sweep BC if there is a federal elections tomorrow
Niks retweeted
Conservatives now governing in 7 provinces and one territory. On the rise in Quebec.
And yet at the federal level they're flat on their back.
People have no idea about Canadian politics. It’s kind of shame that they don’t spend time on AI before type this
Mark Carney will sweep BC, ON even when they vote conservatives provincial level.
Provincial politics is very different from federal politics. Conservative at provincial levels rarely align with Conservatives at federal levels.
Doug Ford kept winning ON while Trudeau kept winning ON. It very different world out here

One of the biggest hurdles to oil pipelines in Canada are Quebec and NDP govt in BC
BC just elected a conservative majority.
Time to get Alberta crude to Pacific coast in large quantities.
China. Japan. Korea. India.
There is massive market and Canada must play on the front foot
Canadian equity is
1. Banks
2. Oil
3. Mining
4. Shopify
That’s it. Betting on TSX is betting on these 4
For folks not following🇨🇦 politics, political equivalent of British Columbia, the economy equivalent of Maharashtra, finally voted out Khalistani backed NDP to reasonably sensible conservatives
Now every major province is conservative + sensible Federal govt
With
1/ US Tariffs now easing
2/ CAD all time low ( now strengthening)
3/ Controlled immigration opening up ( more foreign $$ coming in)
4/ Foreign buyer ban expiring for RE
5/ Carney leadership
6/ Capex supercycle
Canadian equities can decently outperform + a good hedge against the AI trade
I have been buying Canadian equities for last 6 months
Let's see how this plays out
Full toss balls
Fielding with a wide glove
No stumps to aim at. Just throw to the wicket keeper type ability required
Matter of time the money attracts talent. Pitching may not work, but everything else is possible
I wish Kanpur didn’t go to Pakistan during partition
There is a Kanpur based company that makes helmets for US military. They one do the best in the world when it comes to helmets for military.
Sadly, Pakistan has export control on India for such for military items
Massive massive win for Mark Carney and Alberta.
BC will have a Conservative majority govt.
Those pipeline projects might just get delivered
Why would he do this if Canada is paying the tariffs? Wasn’t it the rationale for this
BREAKING:
The United States is expected to remove 50% tariffs on some Canadian products in a bid to help Maine Senator Susan Collins and other Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.
