It’s not the end of the world lol. Reading the reviews is important but Eurogamers 5 star system skews how people perceive these scores. Their Phantom Blade review reads like a 7-8/10 to me, which is totally fine, yet the rating makes it look like a 6. Why use this scoring scale?

One thing I enjoy about Valor Mortis is discovering how your abilities can interact with boss fights Simple fight but that locust swarm was melting me. It took me a few tries to realize I could burn them down with fire. Love when games let you figure these things out yourself

Finished Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse A fantastic return to form. Combat and platforming feel incredible and stepping into this world again reminded me how much I’ve missed it. There’s nothing like getting to experience another entry in a series I’ve loved for decades 9/10

Pros: - Beautiful art direction - Excellent optional content - Combat absolutely fucks - Rewarding exploration - Fun boss fights - Rose Belmont - Builds and spells are fun to play around with - Every weapon type feels great
