As an ESL person, one of the number one things I keep seeing when English speakers complain about writing and grammar is “too many run-on sentences”. But then when I google examples of what that means, those same things get used both in writing that’s considered excellent and writing that’s considered bad. I cannot for the life of me figure out wtf a ‘run-on sentence’ actually is when it’s bad and what the difference is between bad writer with too many run-on sentences and a good writer who also seems to have a lot of run-on sentences, but no one cares? wtf is a run-on sentence
