BREAKING: We did it! Today we ratified our first contract at Politics and Prose!
Thank you to all of our supporters who helped to make this happen. We couldn't have done this without you and we can't wait for you to stop by! âĽď¸
38 @PoliticsProse employees, union and non-union, signed a letter addressing the artists whose works were removed from the cafe's Arab American Heritage Month display. These individuals speak on their own behalf, not on behalf of the P&P staff, nor the union as a whole.

It's great stories like these that only provoke more questions about what exactly @wamu885's leaders were thinking when they laid off 16 people, including environment reporter @JacobFenston. Just a mind-bogglingly bad decision.
I've been to the Tidal Basin a million times over the years, but I'd never seen the water this high. It really feels like a glimpse of the future. npr.org/2024/03/19/123889637âŚ
