In a @Forbes ranking of billionaires by state, California leads the nation with 255 billionaires, followed by New York with 153 and fast-growing Florida with 138. Nevada ranks seventh with 24. @Google cofounder Sergey Brin ($265B), who moved to Nevada after buying a $42M Lake Tahoe home, is now the state's richest resident, passing @DrMiriamAdelson ($30.3B).

Good news for home buyers: according to @Redfin, 21.1% of homes for sale had a price drop. Housing is a major expense for most Americans and a central affordability issue. Denver had the highest share of price drops in the nation at 30.9%. In Las Vegas, 22.4% of homes had a price drop, creating opportunities for prospective buyers.

At a rally in Georgia, President Trump clarified that his proposed $5,000 payment would go to each eligible person, not each household, so a married couple could receive $10,000. He said the payments would follow if Republicans keep control of Congress on Nov. 3. Congress has not yet passed legislation for them.

Candidate Aaron Ford’s (D) pardon votes are a central issue in the #NVGOV race. @TheNVIndy confirmed he supported clemency for 30 convicted murderers. He sponsored Norman Smith, who killed a pregnant woman, after Smith’s mother—a Clark County Black Caucus member who backed Ford’s political campaign—requested it. Ford also backed Tony Ray Amati, the “thrill killer,” and Bobby Thomas, convicted of stabbing a 17-year-old boy. Ads about Ford’s votes are flooding the airwaves.
