**Update on PowerScore's October LSAT Crystal Ball Webinar: Change of Plans!** Hey everyone! I'll keep this as brief as possible, as I imagine nearly all those reading/interested are about to get, or go request, an email we'll be sending out with more details. For now though here's an update: After lengthy talks with LSAC before, during, and after the September LSAT, and closely watching how the current cheating scandal is influencing LSAC's choices around reusing past tests that may have been stolen (including using all new content for digital testers earlier this month), Jon Denning and I have done a bit of a pivot for the October Crystal Ball webinar. Instead of hosting a live event next Tuesday, 9/23, as planned and per usual, the two of us went ahead and simply recorded, on our own, the exact session we'd intended to present, and are making the full video available to everyone a few days early and for free, as usual. A link to it will be in that email I mentioned up top, and I’ll reply to this post (and others) with a link to get the recording once it’s out. The deeper reasoning behind our decision is that if the test makers use exclusively "new" material in October, as we strongly suspect and LSAC has all but promised, then the usual specificity we've always included in Crystal Balls--from predicted source tests and sections all the way to the specific scored RC passage topics--is not possible. There's just no way to predict many of the things that we always have if there’s no recycled content in use. And that's a bummer. But even more of a bummer, and the last thing we want, would be for 1000+ people to show up to a live event understandably expecting one thing only to receive another. That didn't feel right to us. So now you can check it out at your leisure, and use the detailed timestamps that accompany the email and video page to jump around as you see fit. So what's in it? Glad you asked. The October Crystal Ball video centers on the nature and nuance of 2024-2025's previously-unscored sections, which we feel will closely mirror the entirety of the content coming in October. Basically an understanding of recent "new" sections tells us/you a lot about upcoming new sections. From there we were able to make informed suggestions of which full PTs you should study, and the LR and RC sections that we believe are most worthwhile to tackle. We also explain the circumstances surrounding this whole thing for those unaware, and what we see for the future beyond this next, singular test. In total it's about 80 minutes of presentation and, at the risk of some immodesty, I think it actually turned out great and will be quite helpful! Just in a slightly different way than the traditional Crystal Balls we've all come to know. (Hence our taking a different approach to delivering it) As noted, I plan to reply to this post with a link to where you can find it as soon as it's live, which should be soon! Thanks as always for understanding--we appreciate it! Dave and Jon

Here is the statement from me and Mike Spivey of @SpiveyConsult on LSAT cheating in China: spiveyconsulting.com/blog-po…

BREAKING: LSAC has suspended online LSAT testing in China once the October LSAT concludes. This is due to cheating concerns. A re-start date has not yet been announced.

Last night’s LSAT Crystal Ball webinar had several thousand attendees and was likely the largest webinar in LSAT history—make sure you don’t miss out on what we covered!

Best wishes to everyone receiving June LSAT scores this morning—I hope you absolutely crushed it! Please let me know how you did, and hopefully you are done with the LSAT. Regardless, it's just a test and it doesn't define who you are😀
