Carney’s “prudent banker” brand is dead. The PBO just showed the books are being cooked Debt-service costs are now the fastest-growing federal expense: $25B five years ago → $59B this year (already larger than the Canada Health Transfer) → $83B in five years. Pure interest, paid before anything else PBO Annette Ryan: the government’s fiscal “anchors” are “more like traffic lights.” Capital spending gets a green light; operating spending is a yellow at best. “Limited fiscal discipline. It’s not stopping spending.” Real cash borrowing over five years: $733B. New debt from deficits: only $333B. The ~$400B gap is being parked with Crown corporations, loans and special funds—“a step removed from parliamentary oversight.” New risks, she said, and less transparency The former Bank of Canada/Bank of England governor who once policed balance sheets is now redefining accounting so the headline targets stay pretty while the actual liability grows off-books. Taxpayers get stuck with the interest bill @PBO_DPB

Patriotic Canadians do not want to buy cars made in Communist China. They want to buy cars built by Canadian workers. Watch as I ask commuters if they would ever buy a Chinese EV:

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 “David Eby’s attempt to root out those he deems unacceptable from the B.C. Conservative ecosystem reeks of a McCarthyist ethos determined to police the bounds of discourse in a way that should send a shiver down the spine of anyone committed to free expression. Much like McCarthy, it’s doubtful that Eby has any real self-awareness of the shaky foundations many of his accusations rest upon, instead finding himself completely enveloped in his quest to root out any and all thought criminals from the B.C. Conservative tent. Playing on fear and resentment might have worked 10 years ago, but I would bet that such an approach, especially backed up with few successes and minimal policy prescriptions, will be soundly rejected at the polls.” nationalpost.com/opinion/mud…

November 10th, 2026 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg will be incredible. One for the history books if Hellebuyck plays. #NHLJets

In case you haven’t noticed, our healthcare system is still in rough shape nation wide. We lost 100k+ jobs between August and September. Housing is still unaffordable for most. We’re seeing chaos unfold on our streets. Yet you still want to sustain immigration? Yikes.
This is just so wrong-headed. It’s not 2023 any more.

Well this tells you how little confidence investors have in Canada going forward. The government has to give private equity financial aid in order to catalyze investment…. So much winning!

“Released” after finding a duffel bag full of illegal guns lol What an absolute joke of a system
GUN BAN FAIL: A week ago @MissionRCMP pulled over a car exhibiting “suspicious behaviour” on Lougheed Highway. Both occupants, 2 men in their early 20s, were found transporting a large duffel bag full of illegal guns. They were arrested but later released. vancouver.citynews.ca/2026/1…

A leaked Canada-EU draft pushes closer regulatory alignment with Brussels on energy, finance and technology, raising concerns over business costs and provincial sovereignty. Oil is notably absent from its energy priorities. junonews.com/p/leaked-canada…

The cherry on top of this story is Carney hiring a former top Clinton campaign staffer to be the COO of his Prime Ministers Office. She also happened to be one of his advisors on Canada-US trade 😬
