Gave the new Polyphia album a few listens, and I think it's great. You can tell they were just making whatever was fun in the moment, regardless of anyone's expectations. The consistent Christian theming with all the titles, artwork, and vocal samples was a wonderful touch too.

I was reminded that my last album “Dark Realities and Seductive Dreams” came out 3 years ago. As many problems as I hear with it now, I still remember just how fun it was to create. Listening back to it, there are a lot of ideas I came up with that I’d never think of today.

Jun Maeda is a one-of-a-kind talent who co-founded Key, a visual novel brand synonymous with emotionally-gripping stories. Through writing stories and composing music, he brought to life so many unforgettable titles such as Kanon, AIR, CLANNAD, Little Busters, Angel Beats, and Heaven Burns Red. Before Key, he was at Tactics where he was known for MOON and ONE. ONE in particular inspired someone to become a game scenario writer, birthing a visual novel named "Tsukihime." Kinoko Nasu loved ONE so much that the prototype version of Shiki even had a more aggressive personality like Kouhei's. The PS1 version of ONE was what also led Nasu to use NVL format for his visual novels. It truly is incredible how beloved his works are globally through games and anime. These past few years alone I'm grateful we got official translations for the ONE remake, AIR, and Kanon which will allow easier access to his works and further solidify his legacy. And these final words in the announcement also shows his dedication to what he loves doing: "Maeda is currently hospitalized, but even under these circumstances, he remains strongly determined to devote himself to creative work through to the very end."

This is devastating news. Jun Maeda is legend who made some of the most impactful anime I’ve ever watched. There’s something unique about all of his work that just can’t be imitated… My prayers go out to him in hopes of a possible recovery and in his creative endeavors.
We would like to share an important announcement concerning our creator, Jun Maeda. For details, please refer to the attachments.

Had the pleasure of seeing the NieR Orchestra recently. Such a unique and memorable concert! It was surreal listening to Emi Evans, who I’ve been a massive fan of for 10 years now, sing in person. Both her and J’nique Nicole sound just as good live as they do on the OST.

Compelling and relatable commentary from the illustrator of Brunhild the Dragonslayer

I don't have a southern accent, but this is dead accurate, so apparently I use all of the southern words. Biggest surprise to me was how "18-wheeler" is almost exclusively used in my home state of Mississippi, and it's what I've always known it as.
I am a Midwesterner but I have Southern relatives and lived in the Carolinas for 4 years
