During my virtual assistant training, one of my tasks was managing a client’s calendar. Sounds simple. It isn’t. Picture setting up a month of events by hand. Open Google Calendar. Click the date. Type the title. Pick the start time. Pick the end time. Choose a color. Set a reminder. Save. Next event. Repeat that 20, 30 times. Then the client changes three meetings and you start moving things around again. I did it. It worked. But I kept thinking: there has to be a faster way. So after training in AI automation, I built one. Now I send a voice note or text on Telegram: “Book a client call tomorrow at 3pm for one hour, make it red, remind me 30 minutes before.” A few seconds later, it’s on my calendar. Right date, right color, reminder set. The assistant replies to confirm. Under the hood: → n8n workflow running on my own server → Groq Whisper turns the voice note into text → An AI agent with three tools: create, check and delete calendar events → Locked to my Telegram account only The part I’m proudest of is the guardrails. It asks me to type YES before deleting a recurring series. It reports failures honestly instead of pretending it worked. And if you ask it anything that isn’t about the calendar, it politely refuses. An AI assistant you can’t trust is worse than no assistant. I just got my TS Academy capstone result. 85. I read the email twice to be sure. In February, I didn’t know what AI automation was. In June, I started classes. I could barely follow the first few weeks. I was running two courses at the same time. TS Academy on Thursdays and Saturday mornings. A virtual assistant bootcamp on Fridays, Saturday nights and Sundays. Most weekends, I went from one class straight into the other. Some weeks, a workflow would break and I’d spend the whole night trying to find out why. I didn’t always find out. I came back the next day and tried again. Then came the capstone. We built it as a team, and we got it done. Today the grade came in. 85. The feedback said: “Excellent work.” Four months ago, I didn’t know what a webhook was. Today I build workflows that run on their own. Thank you to my team members Omolola Ajide. Thank you @errah_didit Mr Chidera Okonkwo for teaching us from scratch. Thank you @TechSphereAcad for the scholarship and the opportunity. I graduate on the 28th. #MyTSAcademyStory #GraduatingWithTS #AIAutomation #n8n

Most companies leave job applicants on read. You fill the form, hit submit, and hear nothing. Meanwhile HR is buried in a spreadsheet, copying details and replying one by one, if they reply at all. In week 5 of my AI automation training at TS Academy, our assignment was to fix that for a made-up company, Fuji Logistics. I built it solo in n8n. Here’s what happens when someone applies: → HR instantly gets a clean email with the applicant’s details, CV and LinkedIn → The applicant gets a branded “we’ve received your application” email → Then they’re sorted by experience, and each group gets its own reply: kept on file, shortlisted for interview, or fast-tracked No one copies anything. No applicant is left wondering. Looking back at it this week, I found something I’d missed. The decision email was landing before the “we’ve received your application” email. Same workflow, wrong order. Fixed it so the system confirms first, waits, then replies, the way a real HR team would. Screenshots below 👇 the actual emails that landed in the test inbox. 🛠 Stack: n8n · Google Forms · Google Sheets · Gmail #AIAutomation #n8n #HRTech #BuildInPublic

From not knowing how to make a Telegram bot to building AI automations. My TS Academy story. In February this year, I didn't know what AI automation was. Around February 20th, I came across a post from @elewachii Emmanuel. People kept asking him to explain AI automation in a way they could actually understand, so he put it all into one PDF: "AI Automation for Absolute Beginners." ₦5,000. I bought it a few days later. The email that came with the book said something I still remember. Reading it wouldn't make me an expert. Saving it to my phone and forgetting it wouldn't get me clients. The only way it works is if you read the concepts and open a canvas and start building. That was my first real exposure. And it clicked. Businesses were spending hours on work a system could do in seconds, and people were getting paid to build those systems. A few months later, a post came across my timeline. People were thanking their tutor, @errah_didit Chidera Okonkwo, and thanking TS Academy for the scholarships that got them into the program. I got curious. I went to the TS Academy page on X, then to their website, and found the scholarship page. Each scholarship was sponsored by someone, and you chose your sponsor when applying. I picked @aproko_doctor . Then I chose AI Automation from the list of courses, filled the form, and waited. About a weeks later, the email came. I'd been selected for a scholarship. All that was left was ₦26,500 for my learning platform access. I paid immediately. Classes were supposed to start in April. They moved to June. Three months later, at the end of September, we wrapped up. It wasn't easy. I was already in a virtual assistant bootcamp when TS started, so my weeks looked like this: Thursday, 6–8pm: TS Academy Friday, 6–8pm: VA bootcamp Saturday, 9–11am: TS Academy Saturday, 6–9pm: VA bootcamp Sunday, 6–9pm: VA bootcamp Plus assignments for both. Some weeks I didn't know which class I was preparing for. But this is what came out of it. When I started, I couldn't create an ordinary Telegram bot. I didn't know what a workflow was, or a webhook, or an API. Now I've built: → A voice assistant on Telegram. I send a voice note, it books, checks or cancels events on my Google Calendar → An AI inbox assistant that labels every email, drafts replies, and pings my phone when something is urgent → A Monday briefing that summarizes my inbox and my week, and lands in Telegram at 8am → An AI lead qualifier that scores leads Hot, Warm or Cold and updates HubSpot. Last week it was picked as the #1 AI agent use case of the day on Ideabot I won't call myself an expert. I still hit errors every week. But I build things that work, and when they break, I know how to find out why and fix it. Funny enough, the two courses ended up fitting together. In the VA bootcamp, I learned to do admin work by hand: inboxes, calendars, CRM, reports. At TS Academy, I learned to automate that same work. On October 28th, I graduate. @errah_didit Mr Chidera, thank you for your patience and for teaching in a way that made sense to someone starting from zero. @aproko_doctor , thank you for sponsoring my scholarship. You opened a door I couldn't have opened on my own. @TechSphereAcad TS Academy, thank you for the platform, the structure, and the push. @elewachii , your ₦5,000 PDF started all of this. What's next: landing my first clients and building more in public. Every workflow I build, I'll share here. If you're where I was in February, curious but confused, just start. Apply for the scholarship. Open the canvas and build something small. #MyTSAcademyStory #GraduatingWithTS #AIAutomation #n8n

Opened Upwork today and saw people bidding 214 Connects just to sit at the top of one client's list. That's about $30+ for ONE proposal. No guarantee of a reply, talk less of a job. Upwork don turn auction house. If you're new, how you wan compete with that? 😮‍💨

Didn’t expect this 😅 my lead qualifier made #1 on Ideabot today. Built it the same night I saw a job post asking for it. Thanks for the feature @joeleboube

BioWare’s shutdown shows how big publishers can stifle iconic studios, killing innovation by chasing short-term profits over legacy franchises.
This is how it happened. This is how the Bioware died.

Last night I saw a job post that said: "We need an n8n workflow that captures new leads, uses AI to qualify them, and updates our HubSpot CRM." Instead of writing "I can do this" in a proposal… I built it. Same night. 🏠 Here's the problem it solves: Real estate agencies get leads from forms, ads and emails all day. Someone types each one into the CRM by hand. Then the team guesses who to call first. The serious buyer waits. The "just browsing" lead gets the call. So I built an AI agent that qualifies every lead in seconds: → A lead comes in through a webhook (website form, Facebook Lead Ads, any source) → AI scores it Hot, Warm or Cold based on budget, timeline, location and intent → It writes a one-line reason + the next step for the agent → HubSpot CRM creates or updates the contact automatically, with the right lifecycle stage → Every lead is logged in Google Sheets → Hot leads trigger an instant Gmail alert so the team calls them first I tested it with two leads: Sarah: "Pre approved, looking for a 3-bed near downtown, want to move in 60 days." → 95/100 Hot. Sales Qualified Lead in HubSpot. Alert sent. Mike: Just browsing prices, maybe next year. → 20/100 Cold. Saved as a lead. No alert. Next step: monthly newsletter. Zero manual data entry. Zero guessing. My lesson as a freelancer: a working demo says more than any cover letter. It all started with Cloud Atlas. Before I knew it, my laptop, my accounts, everything was hacked. This is my story. It was past midnight on August 8th. I just wanted to watch a movie. Cloud Atlas, that mind-bending film with Tom Hanks. I searched for a free download site.
