Here to expose ticket offices manipulation tactics to make people pay more. I don’t attack fanbases. Former MLB season ticket holder from 2001-2019.

OFFICIAL MEMO to all fans. @MLB helps set postseason pricing for “strip customers” (season ticket holders). They let teams do whatever they want to manipulate supply and try to maximize revenue for individual games. This includes direct selling on @seatgeek & holding back tickets

AND …. AND. The 8 packs are moving around the stadium. Artificial Scarcity. Market Manipulation 101 This needs to stop. They need to show how many tickets are available for sale. They are propping up prices slow dripping the market. #Brewers
…..AND ….. Now there are 18 listings of 8+ tickets on @SeatGeek And number of listings of 2+ tickets has remained unchanged today. Still 210. They are reloading as things sell to create artificial scarcity. @Brewers are Manipulating the “secondary” to make you pay more

Weird. Now there are 15 listings of 8+ tickets. Who has two thumbs and isn’t surprised one bit? This guy ::points at self:: Artificial scarcity folks. Supply was held back to keep prices propped up.

Nothing exposes the problem with the Live Nation–Ticketmaster monopoly more clearly than this Calvin Harris tour. Shows sold outside Ticketmaster, using randomized waiting rooms, have resale tickets starting around $110~. Ticketmaster shows, using its selection process, have get-in prices of $400 or more. How is that a win for fans? This system helps 2% of them at the expense of the other 98%. What do you want to bet they all show up on Ticketmaster Resale in blocks of 20, and TM looks the other way because it makes a fortune on resale fees? #Ticketmaster #Monopoly #CalvinHarrisTickets @ScottFriedman3 @forcemm Toronto and Hamilton prohibit resale above face value. St. Paul, Salt Lake City, and Houston all used platforms other than Ticketmaster. From there down, it’s ALL Ticketmaster venues—with absurd resale prices. That’s what this system gets you. The common denominator problem: Ticketmaster

There are still 14 listings of 8+ listings. Many of them top rows in the 400s (where season ticket holders don’t exist). Prices decreasing as you go away from the plate. You know. Like the box office would price “face values” at. Believe what you want.

Gov. Healey’s bill would pour gasoline on an already raging fire.” Why are we allowing @Ticketmaster to hold back tickets from fans and then sell them at outrageous platinum prices? @MassGovernor, who is this bill really protecting? The fans or Live Nation and Ticketmaster? My article in CommonWealth Beacon. Link below

A bunch of new listings popped up overnight. And the get in has dropped around $500. The people behind the manipulation know what they are doing. But eventually the true market price will show. May not happen until game day.
I don’t think the costs drop more than 20% and if they do it’s going to be within hours of the game for overpriced 400 tickets.

Sports franchises are basically run like Real Estate companies now. Season Tickets might as well be viewed as rent because you don’t own the tickets anymore in a majority of cases.

I know multiple people who used to have full season packages for the Yankees at the old stadium. Would make it to 35-40 games a year. Resell 15-20 at face, sell the Red Sox games for twice, and donate or give away the rest. The goal wasnt to make a profit, just pay for the games they could go to. Then prices doubled at the new stadium, the Yankees made dumb rules against stubhub, and it no longer made sense to get season tickets and now they go to half the games they used to.
Season tickets have gone from coveted things you passed down to future generations to the biggest scam in sports. All because teams got greedy and kept pushing up the price. The market has spoken and said it isn’t worth the “face value” anymore.

@NFL invoices are coming in, and it’s the same story every year. For the last 10 years, teams have raised prices year after year. Good team, bad team — makes no difference. The price increases are INSANE. Fans are getting fed up, and people are walking away for good. Teams better wake up. You can only squeeze your loyal fans so much before you lose them forever

Teams are increasingly retaining inventory to sell on a single-game basis rather than committing those seats to season ––or miniature–– ticket packages. And the expectation is that more will retain an even larger share of single-game ticketing inventory in the years ahead. 👇

The worst team in the @NFL is raising 🎟️ prices. Why even be a STH these days for @MiamiDolphins?
The Dolphins, who lowered or kept prices the same for all season tickets this season, are raising all season ticket prices for next season, to account for an extra regular season home game in 2027. (Total number of home games remains 10, including preseason, but 9 will be regular season next year). Price increase is 3 % for most. A couple sections in shade on home sideline rose a bit more than 3%. Renewals went out today.

Has there ever been a greater disparity between regular-season and World Series ticket prices? The Brewers' World Series get-in price is now 125x their typical regular-season get-in. From $20 to over $2,500 for the same seat in the same ballpark.

So we get to do this all over again next time?
New: The Brewers say they “erred” on the logistics of fulfilling Timeless Ticket requests for World Series games, limiting fans to the 400 level and standing room tickets. Those fans will now be able to keep those tickets AND retain their Timeless Ticket for a future game:

What was the @RaysBaseball ticket limit for buying World Series tickets? Was it 10? If not……who is behind these 95 listings of 10+ tickets? They could just use their own website to sell these instead of confusing people on @SeatGeek PS. It’s not scalpers. It’s the team.

You can see Calvin Harris in Vegas clubs for around $70. Please do not panic-buying $400 arena tickets. The ticketing industry thrives when fans think they have to pay whatever it takes before tickets disappear. Don’t let FOMO turn you into the product. #paystowait

This seems pretty incredible. Someone has for sale on Ticketmaster resale. Seats 1-30 and someone has for sale seats 3-30 for Andrea Bocelli for the other show. The ticket limit for this event is 8 for presales and 12 for public sale. @saumil can you shed some light on what is happening here being the global president of Ticketmaster. You know exactly who bought these tickets and who has them listed for sale.
