Today, my dad cried over the phone, he wanted one week where he could use his computer without my help.
He's blind.
Each inaccessible webpage tells him, "you aren't welcome in this world."
If you don't know whether your website or app is accessible: it's not.
Start learning.
Awesome Saturday at @PCCCNJ with a Study Jam presented by the great @Wara73375043 !
Thanks Wara for the opportunity

➡️What off-main-architecture is
➡️why we need to start using it on the web,
➡️what it has to do with web workers,
➡️and how this is a matter of inclusivity.

According to Stats Counter, globally 0.29% of traffic is still coming through IE6–10.
3.2 billion people online.
That's 9,280,000 users of old IE.
Yeah, even if 75-80% of that traffic is bots, not people. That's still TWO MILLION PEOPLE. At least.
And another semester starts! Once again, I cannot wait to meet new students, welcome back former ones and to catch up with great coworkers! I wish everyone a great semester :)
