Imagine going out to catch lunch, only for lunch to fight back! That's exactly what happened to a female cheetah near Aruba in Tsavo East National Park, Kenya, when a hunt took an unexpected turn. Instead of walking away with a full stomach, she ended up with a deep wound on her inner left shoulder, likely caused by the horn of her prey as she tried to bring it down. Luckily, our KWS Tsavo Veterinary Team came to her rescue! They carefully stitched up her shoulder, treated a scrape on her right knee and provided the care she needed to get back on her paws. Her chances of recovery are looking promising!
