The legendary Star Trek and X-Men star, Patrick Stewart has passed away at 86, ending a remarkable career that stretched more than six decades across Shakespeare, television and blockbuster cinema.
For generations, Stewart represented a different kind of hero. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, intelligence and diplomacy were his greatest weapons. As Professor Charles Xavier, he became the calm center of a world divided by fear and prejudice.
But those two icons only revealed part of his range. He could become a hardened warrior in Dune, a terrifying extremist in Green Room, a comedic king in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, or return to his classical roots as Ebenezer Scrooge and Captain Ahab.
Some of his most famous live-action roles:
β’ Jean-Luc Picard β Star Trek
β’ Professor Charles Xavier β X-Men
β’ Gurney Halleck β Dune
β’ Darcy Banker β Green Room
β’ King Richard β Robin Hood: Men in Tights
β’ Ebenezer Scrooge β A Christmas Carol
β’ Captain Ahab β Moby Dick
β’ Dr. Jonas β Conspiracy Theory
β’ Alistair Burke β Frasier
β’ John Bosley β Charlieβs Angels
Stewart passed at his Los Angeles home after what his representative described as a brief journey with Alzheimerβs disease and Lewy body dementia, surrounded by family and friends.
He gave science fiction two of its greatest leaders, but his legacy reaches far beyond the stars and the X-Mansion.
For more than 60 years, Patrick Stewart showed us that the strongest presence in the room could also be the calmest.
Rest in paradise, Sir Patrick Stewart ποΈ

'THE BARONESS'

You may ask how did COBRA's top femme fatale ended up working with Nina Williams. Quite simple - she was out of job. Or so, she thought.
Baroness was never one to stay in one place unless situation was pleasant towards it. When COBRA was 'torn apart', she found shelter with the Administration. While she resents peace, she agreed to work with Nina and her other associates... for now.
A master martial artist and seductress, Baroness is not one to shy away from complicated assignments.

During the mass round-up of 'criminals' and 'fugitives' by S.H.I.E.L.D., Nina would appear on the screens all over the world with a message.
"My dear world.
What we see going on all around the world to those with inhuman powers is against everything we have been taught in schools and by our parents. This rounding up that is called 'required security' creates a very dangerous precedent. If those who are branded as 'dangerous' are merely protecting others, why it wouldn't be used to others as well? Today, it's superheroes and inhumans. Tomorrow, it could be us.
That is why I offer this - I offer Zaibatsu Administration of Japan as safe haven from persecutions and arrests. In the Home Islands, you will be given shelter and a place to take respite. And while we are at it, the Zaibatsu Administration won't tolerate any incursion on its soil by S.H.I.E.L.D. or any other 'authority' to seek persecution even here.
If such agencies will try enforce their rules on our grounds, then I cannot guarantee peace being held up.
Nina Williams out."

Today, my appreciation goes to @ProjectDevilJun.
We talked a lot about what irks us, what we enjoy and I have to admit that I feel better now that I can talk about stuff I like without being afraid.
Thank you, my friend!
