🚨 Akademiks and Flakko DEBATE over Drake potentially securing a $1 BILLION record deal, with Flakko arguing Drake’s BEST YEARS are BEHIND HIM and he’s no longer worth that kind of money.
Flakko says Drake will NEVER replicate the commercial success of “Views” or “Scorpion” and questions why UMG would pay him a billion dollars when his newer albums aren’t performing at those levels.
“Drake’s best years are clearly behind him.”
Akademiks FIRES BACK, arguing that Drake’s catalog could be worth around $2.5 BILLION and that UMG would benefit from his older music continuing to generate revenue whenever he releases new projects.
Flakko pushes back, arguing that Drake shouldn’t be talking BILLIONS if the deal depends on leveraging his old catalog rather than the success of his next four albums.
