My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

The Mumbai IIT student who committed suicide is a victim of toxic parenting.
There must have been immense psychological pressure on him to cheat using a mobile phone while sitting in the front row when three invigilators were in the examination hall. He was just too scared to face his parents after he was rusticated from the exam and decided to take a drastic step.
His father should be charged with abetment of suicide. The way he asked for immediate compensation just a day after his son’s suicide proves that he was treating his son as nothing more than a retirement plan and even using his son’s unfortunate demise to get monetary benefits.
Beta ke Chitte ki aag bhi thandi nahi huyi aur iss bhadwe baap ko paise ki garmi chahiye. Such vulture father is not just blot to parenting but whole humanity. Shame on him

बाबासाहेब के अपमान और संविधान की अवमानना के लिए भाजपा और उनके संगी-साथी समय-समय पर तरह-तरह के कुतर्क देते रहते हैं। इसी कड़ी में संविधान को बदलने या पूरी तरह से ख़त्म करने की साज़िश करनेवाले अपंजीकृत व भूमिगत रहनेवाले इनके विचारवंशी कह रहे हैं कि बाबासाहेब डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर जी ने संविधान लिखा ही नहीं। इनका बस चले तो यह ये भी कह सकते हैं कि संविधान है ही नहीं। दरअसल ऐसे संकीर्ण मानसिकता के लोगों ने संविधान को हमेशा ही नकारा है। यही वो लोग हैं जो बाबासाहेब की मूर्तियों को तोड़ते हैं, ख़ासतौर से बाबासाहेब की मूर्तियों के हाथों को क्योंकि उन हाथों में संविधान की किताब होती है।
सच तो ये है कि एकरंगी-सुरंगजीवी नकारात्मक सोच के लोगों ने संविधान को कभी माना ही नहीं क्योंकि ये संविधान ही ग़ैरबराबरी को दूर करने के लिए समता-समानता की बात करता है। यही संविधान इन प्रभुत्ववादियों के उस वर्चस्व को चुनौती देता है, जिस वर्चस्व की वजह से इन्होंने पाँच हज़ार सालों से शोषित, वंचित, ग़रीब ‘पीडीए समाज’ का लगातार दमन किया है।
आज संविधान ‘पीडीए समाज’ की ढाल भी है और रक्षा कवच भी। संविधान से मिला हुआ ‘आरक्षण’ आज इन परंपरागत शक्तिशाली लोगों को फूटी आँख नहीं सुहाता है। ये वो पुरातनपंथी-रूढ़िवादी-दक़ियानूसी लोग हैं जो परिवर्तन चाहते ही नहीं है, जबकि संविधान सकारात्मक परिवर्तन का एक बेहद ताक़तवर दस्तावेज़ है।
हमने पहले भी कहा है, आज फिर दोहरा रहे हैं : शोषणकारियों के ख़िलाफ़, बाबासाहेब हमें संविधान के रूप में काग़ज़ का एक ऐसा ताक़तवर दस्तावेज़ देकर गये हैं, जो लोहे की तलवार से भी ज़्यादा मजबूत है।
संविधान ही पीडीए के भविष्य का विधान है।
संविधान ही संजीवनी है। इसमें संजीवनी की तरह को देश को अच्छा करने की और अच्छा बनाए रखने की अद्भुत शक्ति है। इसीलिए देश का नया नारा ‘जय जवान! जय किसान!! जय संविधान!!! होना चाहिए।
संविधान को चुनौती देनेवाले पाँचों इंद्रियों को सक्रिय करके सुन लें कि ‘देश संविधान से चलेगा, किसी संघ-विधान या मन-विधान से नहीं।’
संविधान था, संविधान है, संविधान रहेगा!
