OKC is 4-0, but this has been a brutal week for the champs.
JDub: fractured fibula + dislocated ankle, likely done for the year

Thatβs not a couple of rotation guys. Thatβs the entire OKC infrastructure. Their 2nd best player, their rim protector and their best perimeter defenders all in street clothes.
OKC is still talented enough to sit at the top of the West, but games like tonight that are usually routine just got a lot harder. Even with everyone, this team ranks 21st in scoring at 111.3 PPG. They win with defense, and thatβs exactly whatβs missing.
Meanwhile Cooper Flagg is ahead of schedule.

Kyrie being back is the key. He handles the primary creator load, which lets Flagg play his natural role: attacking, making reads, wrecking things defensively. Donβt be shocked if he finishes this season All-NBA.
Matchup wise, no Chet means no one protecting the paint for OKC. Dallas has the length up front with Gafford (2.0 BPG), PJ Washington, Flagg and Risacher to wall off SGAβs drives and attack a thin Thunder frontcourt.
