Outrage is growing after a White inmate in a South Carolina jail overseen by a Black administrator DIED OF THIRST on his cell floor... surrounded by FECES INCHES DEEP, with the water to his sink TURNED OFF.
He was drinking from his OWN TOILET to survive.
He wrote letters to his father begging for help, saying he was being tortured for being White.
His name was Gary "Bubba" Blair. He was 43 years old.
He was the caretaker for his elderly father. He had two nephews he loved dearly and a dog named Scrubby.
Why was he in jail in the first place?
In February, Bubba arrived at his sister's home wearing a sheriff's office golf shirt, a security badge, handcuffs, and pepper spray. Deputies arrested him for impersonating an officer.
A judge ruled he was not mentally competent to stand trial and ORDERED the state to place him in treatment on June 3.
The South Carolina Office of Mental Health never followed the order.
Bubba remained in that jail for 181 days waiting for a bed.
He died 51 days after a judge ordered him to get help.
In April, he wrote to his father:
"I've lost about 90 pounds so far. I'm starving to death in here; only two meals a day, that's it... you starve, and I also have to drink from my toilet and no mattress to sleep on, only a hard ground."
"I've been abused by staff and assaulted by everyone on the unit; I had to go 28 days without a shower... no help for a white man"
"The staff is very nasty to white inmates thanks to Troy Ellerbe and James Dixon."
Then in May, Bubba did something haunting.
He wrote a letter to a CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE pleading for help.
The letter had the wrong address. It was returned. It never got there.
Meanwhile, sources say the water to his sink had been SHUT OFF. His cell floor and walls were caked in feces INCHES DEEP. He was kept alone. Never let out.
Other inmates, who were allowed a few hours out of their cells, told reporters they saw Bubba drinking toilet water.
So they filled an empty potato chip bag with water and slid it through the food slot in his door!!!!!
Most of it spilled before it could reach him.
On July 24th, jailers found him dead on the floor.
49 days later, the autopsy was released.
Cause of death: profound dehydration due to WATER DEPRIVATION.
Manner of death: HOMICIDE.
The report also found bedsores on his HEELS, consistent with lying on a concrete floor for days.
Acute bronchial pneumonia.
Severe weight loss.
Physical evidence that he had been DRINKING TOILET WATER.
He had lost so much weight and was in such terrible condition that his sister and aunt went to the funeral home and did not recognize his body.
The sheriff fired the Black jail administrator 5 days after Bubba died, and won't say why.
Bubba Blair sang for seniors in nursing homes. He looked after his dad.
He deserved far better than dying of thirst on a concrete floor.
Say his name. Gary "Bubba" Blair.

Crude can drop and diesel stay high because you don’t buy crude at the pump. You buy the finished fuel.
Wars knocked out diesel plants overseas. The world got short of diesel, so companies sold more of ours abroad and kept a fat cutoff at home. That’s why the gap looks like gouging: the barrel got cheaper, the truck fuel didn’t.
A 90-day export pause is one way to keep more of that fuel here. Whether it works is another fight. The chart is still right.

18-year old Texas high school football player Aiden Craig tragically died after suffering a medical emergency during a physical fitness test while training to become a U.S. Marine.
Craig had recently graduated from Wylie High School, where he was a two-year varsity football player. The defensive end recorded 50 tackles, four sacks, six QB pressures and six tackles for loss during his senior season, earning Second Team All-District honors.
Just weeks after graduation, Craig enlisted in the Marine Corps. He was 47 days into recruit training when he suffered the medical emergency on August 1. He was hospitalized and died four days later on August 5. The Marine Corps posthumously awarded him the title of Marine.
His family is now honoring his memory by establishing an educational endowment through the Wylie ISD Education Foundation, hoping Aiden’s name and legacy will continue helping students in his community.
Thoughts and Prayers to Craig's family. Rest in peace .

Two sisters watched the Beatles on television one February night, and neither of them was ever quite the same afterward.
Ann Wilson was born on June 19, 1950, in San Diego, and four years later, on March 16, 1954, Nancy Wilson was born in San Francisco. Their family eventually settled in Bellevue, Washington, where the sisters grew up surrounded by music. Their father was a Marine, their mother was a trained pianist and choir singer, and the girls shared a bedroom where the radio seemed to be on constantly.
On February 9, 1964, thirteen-year-old Ann and Nancy, who was not yet ten, sat down to watch the Beatles perform on *The Ed Sullivan Show*. Something about that night stayed with both of them. They didn't know it at the time, but watching the Beatles would change the direction of their lives.
In 1970, Ann answered a newspaper advertisement from a local band called Heart that needed a singer. She got the job without knowing that her name would eventually become inseparable from the band. Around the same time, she fell in love with Heart's manager, Michael Fisher, who was avoiding the Vietnam draft. The couple eventually moved to Vancouver, Canada, and Ann went with them.
Nancy stayed behind for a while. She played folk clubs and finished college. Then, in 1974, she dropped out and crossed the border to join her sister. She brought an acoustic guitar sound that Heart had never had before. That guitar would become an important part of the band's identity, even though the music industry would spend years questioning whether she was really playing it.
In 1976, Heart released its debut album, *Dreamboat Annie*, through Mushroom Records, a small Canadian label that few people outside the Pacific Northwest knew. The singles "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You" quickly became hits, and the album climbed to number seven on the American charts. Success had arrived, but respect did not necessarily come with it.
Journalists asked Nancy directly whether her guitar was even plugged in. Then tabloids took a closer look at the album cover, where Ann and Nancy were posed back-to-back, and began spreading a bizarre rumor that the two sisters were actually secret lovers rather than siblings. The rumor followed them from city to city as they toured.
In 1977, a radio promoter repeated the same rumor to the sisters backstage. Ann and Nancy were furious. Instead of letting it consume them, they took that anger into the studio. The result was "Barracuda," the lead single from their second album, *Little Queen*. It became one of the defining songs of their career, born directly from the frustration of two women who had finally heard one insult too many.
The hits continued through the late 1970s, but when the early 1980s arrived, Heart's momentum began to slow. Some people in the industry started treating the band like a relic from the previous decade, a group that had been important once but was finished now.
Ann and Nancy had no intention of disappearing.
In 1985, Heart released its self-titled album and completely changed the band's position in the music world. The sisters' powerful sound was combined with the polished production and MTV-friendly style of the decade. Songs like "What About Love," "These Dreams," and "Alone" helped turn the album into the only number-one record of Heart's career. It eventually sold more than five million copies in the United States alone.
The decade that had seemed ready to bury Heart ended up making the band bigger than ever.
Over the years, the recognition continued to grow, but one honor seemed to keep going to other artists. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted one act after another while Ann and Nancy Wilson waited.
In December 2012, that wait finally ended when Heart was announced as part of the 2013 induction class alongside Rush, Public Enemy, and Donna Summer.
On April 18, 2013, Ann and Nancy Wilson walked onto the stage at the induction ceremony. Chris Cornell of Soundgarden introduced them.

In 1978, 15-year-old Mary Vincent was hitchhiking near Berkeley, California, when she was picked up by 50-year-old Lawrence Singleton. Singleton drove her to Del Puerto Canyon near Modesto, California, where he brutally raped and assaulted her. To cover up his crime and ensure she would not survive, Singleton used a hatchet to sever both of her arms below the elbows before throwing her off a 30-foot cliff into a ravine and leaving her for dead.
Despite experiencing catastrophic blood loss and severe trauma, Vincent demonstrated extraordinary will to survive. She used dirt and mud to pack her bloody stumps to stanch the hemorrhage and slow down the infection, preventing herself from bleeding to death. She then hauled herself up the steep embankment of the ravine and walked nearly three miles along Interstate 5 until she managed to flag down a passing couple, who immediately dialed emergency services.
Vincent survived her injuries, received prosthetic forearms, and went on to provide crucial courtroom testimony that led to Singleton's conviction and a 14-year prison sentence. Singleton served less than eight years before being paroled due to prison overcrowding, a release that sparked widespread public outrage and legislative reform regarding violent crime sentencing. Vincent later advocated for victims' rights, though her assailant went on to commit another murder in Florida in 1997, for which he was sentenced to death before dying in prison in 2001.

A 5-foot-2 principal heard gunshots in her own building and made a choice that most people would never make.
Dawn Hochsprung was coming out of a staff meeting at Sandy Hook Elementary when the sound hit her ears. She didn't lock the door. She didn't wait. She moved—straight into the hallway to face what was happening.
School psychologist Mary Sherlach was with her.
Within seconds, they found him. The intruder was feet away. Hochsprung didn't hesitate. She lunged, trying to bring him down herself.
She was killed instantly. So was Sherlach.
But in those final moments, Hochsprung's hand found the school's intercom system, leaving it open. Every classroom in the building heard what followed. Teachers with no warning suddenly had seconds to react—hiding children in closets, locking doors, saving lives—because of the sound coming through that speaker.
Her family would later hope that for just one second, the shooter felt fear seeing a determined 5-foot-2 woman running straight at him instead of away.
Hochsprung had only been principal for two years. In that short time, she'd made building safety a priority and become the "Sandy Hook Book Fairy," getting kids excited about reading. Those who knew her said she was born for this work.
A university would later honor her memory by naming a center for school safety and mental health after her.
She had every reason to stay safe that morning. Instead, she ran toward danger—and the warning she left behind saved children she never got to see grow up.

A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped in broad daylight. Hours later, two garbage collectors saw something that stopped them in their tracks.
It was the silver car police were searching for, sitting alone in the middle of a field. Dion Merrick and Brandon Antoine realized the missing girl could still be inside, so they pulled their garbage truck across the only way out, blocked the car from leaving and called 911.
For the next few minutes, they stayed there with the suspect trapped while police raced to the scene. When officers arrived, they rushed in, arrested the kidnapper and found 10-year-old Jalissa alive inside.
Dion and Brandon were just doing their normal route that morning. But because they were paying attention and refused to let that car leave, a missing 10-year-old girl made it home safely.
Some stories deserve to travel just as far as the bad news does. This is one of them.

They took her away from her family, cut off her long braids, punished her for speaking her own language, and tried to strip away her Native American identity. But the little girl they tried to silence grew up to become a writer, help create a groundbreaking opera, and lead a national movement for Indigenous rights. Her name was Zitkala-Ša.
She was born on February 22, 1876, on the Yankton Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Her Dakota name meant Red Bird. At eight years old she was sent to White’s Indiana Manual Labor Institute. The school’s purpose was to assimilate Native children. Their languages were forbidden and their traditions discouraged. One experience was especially painful: school authorities cut off her long braids. “Then I lost my spirit,” she later wrote.
During her time at school she discovered music and public speaking. She became a skilled violinist and won speaking competitions, which helped her gain admission to the New England Conservatory in Boston. In the early 1900s her essays appeared in *The Atlantic Monthly* and *Harper’s*. Her 1900 essay *The School Days of an Indian Girl* became an important firsthand account of boarding school life.
In 1913, working with composer William F. Hanson, she helped create *The Sun Dance*, widely recognized as the first opera written by a Native American. After marrying Raymond Bonnin she became increasingly involved in the struggle for Native American rights. In 1924 Congress passed the Indian Citizenship Act, granting U.S. citizenship to Native Americans born in the country. In 1926 she and her husband helped establish the National Council of American Indians, and she became its president.
Zitkala-Ša continued fighting until her death on January 26, 1938, at the age of 61. She reclaimed the name Zitkala-Ša, Red Bird, and turned it into a declaration of identity. She learned English and used it to expose injustice. She learned music and used it to preserve Native traditions. The boarding school system had tried to silence her culture, but she became one of its most powerful defenders .

After the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded in January 1986, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman was appointed to the presidential Rogers Commission. Many officials expected the famous scientist to serve mainly as a respected figure on the panel. Feynman had other ideas. He began cutting through the usual process and went directly to NASA engineers and workers on the ground.
What he uncovered was bigger than a single mechanical failure. Engineers had repeatedly warned that the solid rocket booster O-rings could become dangerously vulnerable in freezing temperatures, but those warnings had not been properly acted upon. NASA management had softened the seriousness of the risk to keep launch schedules moving.
During a nationally televised hearing Feynman demonstrated the problem in a way anyone could understand. He took a piece of the O-ring rubber, clamped it, and placed it into a glass of ice water. When he removed it the rubber had lost its ability to return to its original shape. The simple demonstration showed millions of viewers exactly what cold temperatures could do to the material that was supposed to help keep the booster sealed.
Feynman refused to allow public relations concerns to weaken the commission’s conclusions. He was battling terminal cancer while working on the investigation, but he threatened to remove his name from the official report unless his own independent findings were included. His analysis appeared as Appendix F. Official estimates had placed the probability of failure at roughly one in 100,000, while engineers working with the system believed the risk was much closer to one in 100.
He ended with a warning that became one of the most remembered statements from the investigation: “For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled.”
Feynman died two years later, in February 1988, at the age of sixty-nine. His refusal to accept institutional excuses showed why engineering and science depend on something simple but difficult: when the evidence says something is wrong, reality has to matter more than schedules, reputations, or public relations.

THOUSANDS for Ilhan Omar, who begs for $5, $10, or $25 to keep her in a country she despises. ZERO FROM X OUT MILLIONS FOR VETERANS.
I am pleading with X, Facebook, Truth, and all of social media to donate a few dollars to give veterans and their families a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas! We had a decent weekend fundraising. But I received absolutely zero donations from my X-family. Ilhan Omar received thousands for her legal troubles. Can anyone tell me how that's possible?

Last year, they gave over 8,000 meals for 10 on Thanksgiving, and during Christmas, they gave out 11,000 meals for 10 and almost 14,000 Christmas presents to children.
Children had plenty to open up under the tree, with all presents valued at $150.
As you can see, they need to raise a ton of money between now and Thanksgiving and Christmas. Would you please support Protect Our Veterans to make sure veterans and their families have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!!
