Just in: City of Tshwane CFO Gareth Mnisi has not reported to work since Sars raided his office and residence last week.
A source told Sowetan that Mnisi initially took leave of absence for two days for Thursday and Friday. He then extended it from November 2 to November 6. @Sowetan1981 @TimesLIVE

Wu Peng is such a certified troll 😄
Whenever Trump hates on SA, Wu Peng never fails to enter the chat dropping receipts on how well China & SA are getting along.
Growing China-SA trade tells a story of Win-Win cooperation:
🔹Trade between China and SA reached nearly $15bn from May to August 2026, an increase of almost 24% year on year.
🔹Over the period, SA exports to China grew by about 25%, outpacing the 23% growth of SA imports from China.
🔹Agricultural exports to China reached $495m, an increase of more than 35% year on year. #ChinaZeroTariff

Do you know how backwards we must be as a country to consider the shops of Pakistanis, Somalis, Nigerians,Ethiopians etc as “the economy” and the Government consistently making noise about protecting “the economy” .
Do you have any idea how much s*** we are in if our own government considers an illicit economy as part of “the economy” so much so that the President of the country would send out the army and stand at a BUSINESS event to protect the so called “economy” instead of getting rid of it?? ‼️

The Movement has been made aware via a very liable source that there is a matter that is going to be before the Durban High Court, which the applicants are the South African Human Rights Commission on behalf of “asylum seekers/refugees” where the commission has asked for this matter to be handled discreetly and must not be made public.
We have written to the Judge President as the movement to request that this matter be made public because if the results are going to impact us as the public then the request by the SA Human Rights Commission is a very sneaky one because we deserve to know.
We will await for the response and give feedback.
