🚨 Europas Behörden gehen offline. Das wird sehr sehr sehr übel enden.
Zwei kritische Lücken in PHP. Codeausführung aus der Ferne, ohne Anmeldung oder Nutzerinteraktion. Betroffen sind laut BSI potenziell alle Versionen ab PHP 5, also zwanzig Jahre Code.
Das BSI stuft die Lage als kritisch. Betroffen sind u.A.:
→ Bundespolizei, Bundesinnenministerium, Zoll
→ Robert-Koch-Institut
→ Charité Berlin, Klinikum Nürnberg
→ Berliner Feuerwehr, Berliner Tafel
Oktober, Bescheid.

‼️ A critical Signal bug could keep your microphone, and possibly your camera, live after you hang up.
The other caller can flood the call's event queue so your hang-up is never processed.
Dubed CVE-2026-113380 it scored 9.3 and got fixed in September.

It covers the iPhone 11 to 16, even with Stolen Device Protection on. The blogger who got it suspects a Bluetooth bug Apple quietly patched.

‼️BREAKING: Cellebrite unveiled zero-day LOKI, a boot ROM exploit for Apple chips from iPod touch 2 to iPhone 11.
Its Hexacon slide calls it a timing race that some early proofs of concept won just 1 in 25 times.
Boot ROM code is burned into the chip. No update can fix it.

UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users.
I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet).
The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries).
My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold.
Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk.
I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it.
If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!

‼️ BREAKING: Denmark says unauthorised parties accessed the names, addresses and ID-numbers of about 8.8 million people in its central population register.
The country has only 6 million residents; the total includes emigrants and the dead.
Attackers abused a private Danish company's lawful access to the register, abused during September.
Police are investigating.
Data breach in Denmark 🇩🇰, affecting 8.8 million people:
The following has been compromised for all living danish citizens, even some dead ones, and foreign nationals which have had residence in Denmark:
- Social security number
- Age
- Sex
- Family relations
- Physical address
- Protected addresses
- Sex change
Denmark's Education and Digitization Minister Christina Egelund:
"It is a deeply serious incident that I have therefore also briefed on the Danish Business and Digitization Committee. Together with all relevant authorities, we are in the process of mapping the full extent of the incident."
This is bad; really bad. Also, keep in mind that Denmark is one of the countries that already has a Digital ID system in place.
If they can't keep data safe, how should their citizens be able to trust new systems?

🚨 GOOGLE IS KILLING ANDROID FREEDOM. 🚨
This #DiDay we call on you to take action & sign the petition:
change.org/p/keep-android-op…
Because Google must not decide what you can & can't download on YOUR Android device.
This undermines one of Android’s defining features: the freedom to install software from wherever you choose. 😤
#Android is supposed to be open, & your phone should be yours → NOT GOOGLES.
It’s time to support open alternatives like @GrapheneOS ✊

"Wir haben alle FBI-Mitarbeiter"Hacker veröffentlichen brisante Datensätze
Namen, Telefonnummern, Adressen und Informationen über Angehörige: Eine Hackergruppe namens "ShinyHunters" behauptet, die US-Sicherheitsbehörde FBI infiltriert zu haben und Daten sämtlicher Beschäftigter gestohlen zu haben.

GrapheneOS is under constant attack:
State-sponsored smear campaigns connecting GrapheneOS directly with organised crime, activists being arrested for using its features, social media campaigns with the aim to spread lies, fabrications from competing projects and its members, Wikipedia edit wars and now the persistent downvoting and flagging of GrapheneOS' posts on Hacker News (HN)..
If it wouldn't be the best solution around, they wouldn't get that much heat!
Nearly all of the recent posts we've made on Hacker News are now being flagged which hides them from everyone by default. You can see this if you log into an account and enable "showdead" in your settings. Please vouch for our posts if you can do that.

‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor.
The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication.
Revolut later concluded they were not authentic.
Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history.
The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators.
It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers.
ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.
