COLLEGE PLAYERS: IS YOUR AGENT GIVING YOU THE INFORMATION YOU NEED—OR JUST TRYING TO GET YOU SIGNED? CAN YOU ANSWER THE 7 QUESTIONS BELOW! If you're deciding whether to return for another college season or turn pro, your agent should be helping you answer some fundamental questions: How many NWSL rookies are likely to sign in 2027? What does the data show about how much NWSL rookies actually PLAY? What percentage of rookies earn the $65K minimum versus the median NWSL salary (and what is it)? How do salaries compare in the USL Super League and European leagues? Which pro leagues offer the strongest pathways to eventually playing in the NWSL? Why could turning pro in 2028 be more advantageous than 2027? If I stay in college, what are my Revenue Share opportunities? If you don't know the answers to these questions, how can you possibly make an informed decision about your future? What do you wish every college senior knew about the BUSINESS side of becoming a professional? Long-term thinking. A professional soccer career can be front-loaded when it comes to earning potential. Unlike careers where you may be just getting started at 30, many players are thinking about what comes next at that age. The decisions players make early in their professional careers can have a lasting impact on their financial future and life beyond the game.
