An often overlooked (and under-appreciated) way of contributing to open source projects is to write documentation. Simple rule: If you figured something out that wasn't mentioned in the docs, add it, and submit a PR. That way you help the next person who'll face the same issue 🙂

One thing I love abt open source: it’s really hard to credibly spend a lot of time saying “I.” Open source encourages “we.” There are great individuals working on @kubernetesio, @rosorg, @ApacheLucene & more, but they tend to operate as “we,” not “I.” That’s a great work dynamic
