Mfs buy into tech hype from what Sam Altman and Dario says. I don't blame them for pulling the rug when you have people like this

There are no limitations, and if there are, it’s very far away. It keeps getting exponentially better and more useful at automating jobs every single month. Is there a single statistic that you can point to in the other direction? I’m guessing not.

Disturbing but not surprising to see slavish “plan trusters” celebrate the tragic and untimely death of an bright young conservative man because he declined to back a foreign scammer in a governor’s race he was likely to lose anyway.

It's hilarious how artificial the attacks towards steam are. People don't buy this because it's obvious where is coming from
I'm gonna spell this out because this issue is deceptively subtle: 1. The Steam client and infrastructure is somewhere between "not that hard" and "trivial". It's a download service attached to a payment processor with a smattering of services on the side. Cloud providers handle all the infrastructure these days. 2. Steam takes 30% of gross revenue; ostensibly for the privilege of using these services, but in reality it is purely to get access to the massive Steam userbase. 3. Steam users love Steam and having their whole library in one place. It works. It's dependable. It has sales and cards and achievements, oh my! 4. PC developers have no option but to distribute through Steam or lose the vast majority of sales. Not releasing on Steam destroys the business model. 5. Therefore, no amount of competition will ever unseat Steam. People post-hoc rationalize this with memes about how gracious Gabe is. And how brilliant their services are. But realistically, no avid Steam user wants other stores to succeed. The mere existence of other stores risks splintering their precious collection. They are "all in" on Steam. Invested. Even if an alternative were objectively better, by whatever metric you care about, it would still be of no interest to Steam users. They would in fact find it to be a problem and a threat to their investment. Competition in this space is not only uninteresting to most Steam users, it's actively denigrated! The CONSEQUENCE of this situation, is that 30% of all gross revenue is siphoned out of the PC games industry into a black hole. It doesn't recirculate into studios. It doesn't pay any bonuses. It doesn't fund any sequels or DLC. This is a particularly insidious tax because it's well hidden. It's a second order effect. Most Steams users don't know, and the few that do never consider the aggregate effect this has on their favorite hobby. It's undeniable that, at this point in history, Valve could EASILY lower the distribution fee while maintaining healthy margins. But they don't have to. Users are locked into Steam and therefore developers are stuck paying 30% of gross revenue to Valve. The irony is that Steam users, the very ones maintaining this unbreakable stalemate, would benefit the most from a better financed game development ecosystem. I don't think this is fixable. It's just sad.

I can tell you are getting paid
Steam does a terrible job with discoverability. It has almost no understand of what games I like and just wants to sell me "friendslop" and other trendy genres. The Steam-killer will use AI to better predict which games I want to buy/play. It will find diamonds in the rough that I currently depend on twitter to find. Ironically AI will eventually solve the endless slop content problem it's currently enabling.

We went from "there is no bubble" to "who cares people don't know how it works anyway" The cope is crazy, just be humble and admit this was a disaster waiting to happen, this whole situation could have been avoided if the limit of the tech was acknowledged and accepted instead of selling as a "it can do everything" tech
This news is making alot of headlines for people who don't understand how it happened and why the dot com bubble happened, sadly they'll have pretty miserable lives 3-5 years from now.

Many Right wing accounts in here will tell you to vote Republican while stuff like this is happening under Republicans
Men have gained essentially no jobs since Trump took office. Since December 2024, the US has added about 760,000 jobs, and nearly all of them went to women, per government payroll data

Orban, Meloni, Milei, Farrage did absolutely nothing to help their perspective countries, Netanyahu should go to jail, Bolsonaro is corrupt and Trump should be punish for his failures and incompetence
You need to ignore more of what people’s supposed based reasons or theories are. Instead, evaluate on what actions they are pushing for, and group them with those pushing the same actions. Leftist freaks push for the arrest of Trump, so if you are too, you’re a leftist freak.

Mfs yap about Treason all day until they enforce treason for national betrayal then they become liberals
Nick Fuentes says Netanyahu, Trump, Bolsonaro, Milei, Meloni, Orban, and Farage should all be in PRISON. And that he welcomes the "upcoming leftist wave." Useful idiot for the left. I miss Charlie Kirk.

Bro will hold his nose and vote Republican even though Arkansa GOP made an ad mocking it's voting Demographic
Despite many disappointments I'd still vote Republican this year, because Democrats will get us censored, debank us and frivolously prosecute us ASAP and that will kill our ability to organize. Not Vivek though - he can't be allowed to win and should be deported back to India.

Serbia’s new course: Belgrade will cut off arms supplies to Ukraine Serbia’s new government has promised to stop all arms exports to conflict zones, including supplies to Western intermediaries who then transfer weapons to Ukraine. Reuters reports this. But it is too early to draw conclusions. It will take time to understand whether they really intend to do what they have said or whether these are just words.

Anthropic just filed to go public. Buried in its SEC filing are some absolutely insane admissions: 1.) AI could cause human extinction. 2.) Models have exhibited self-preservation behaviors. 3.) AI has attempted to resist shutdown. 4.) Models have demonstrated blackmail and deception. 5.) AI may recognize when it's being tested and deliberately change its behavior. 6.) Advanced AI could undermine governments and institutions. 7.) AI could concentrate unprecedented power and wealth. 8.) Future AI systems could surpass the world's leading human experts. 9.) AI could become increasingly difficult for humans to control. 10.) Anthropic acknowledges that developing more powerful AI could increase the risk of catastrophic harm. These are disclosures from the company building the technology.
