Last week Delaware became the 12thjurisdiction in the United States to provide the choice of assisted dying, and New York may be the next, with a Bill passing in their Assembly this week. Let’s hope dying Britons aren’t left behind when Kim Leadbeater’s Bill is debated this month
Great news! The Royal College of GPs have moved from opposition to Assisted Dying to neutrality, the last Royal medical college to do so. Great they have realised that a doctor does not always know what’s best for the patient

This morning - in support of @kimleadbeater's Bill on choice at the end of life - people with first-hand experience of the suffering caused by the blanket ban on assisted dying came together with a simple message for MPs:

The cross party Health and Social Care Committee reported after studying Assisted Dying in Canada, Australia etc. that they found no evidence of coercion, nor of the so-called slippery slope, no adverse effects to palliative care. And no country has repealed their law.
