UConn football couldn’t even sell out against Bill Belichick’s North Carolina? Are we ready to pull the plug on this yet?

As I watched Caddyshack last night for the 174th time*, it dawned on me that the ending makes no logical sense. As the golfers reach the green, Lou announces that they are "all even." Dr. Beeper two putts. Judge Smails knocks it in with Billy Baroo. Ty Webb two putts. Danny has to sink his putt to maintain the tie. We know it's not a putt to win because Ty tells him, "if you miss it, we lose." At this point, Al shouts "Double or nothing he makes the putt!" Smails' option is to decline and either win $40k if Danny misses or pay nothing in a tie match ... or to accept the bet, risking an $80k downside just to potentially make another $40k if Danny misses. I guess the Judge is so pissed at Al, he just wants to get over on him in front of the huge crowd that has gathered. But, man, from a logic perspective, the decision fails every test. Yes, I understand we do not watch Caddyshack for logic. This will not harm my enjoyment of the film. *estimated

This is a must watch!! One of the wildest things I’ve ever seen in a soccer game and it happened in a league game where I am coaching. A few notes: 1) NEPSAC soccer stops the time with 2 min left so ref has discretion to end the game when appropriate (not buzzer beater soccer like a lot of HS leagues) 2) The team defending is Taft- the #1 in the country and on a 46 game unbeaten streak. 3) This is right at the end of a 0-0 game 4) I believe multiple reds are handed out at the end of this For your enjoyment… 🤯🤯

This is alarming: • NLL’s most popular team (Bandits) has • a player (Ian MacKay) telling fans shut up & pay the money for a service they don’t want, and • a an executive (Scott Loffler) questioning a media member driving 4 hours to be 1 of 3 media guys that show up

They all see what Waterbury is like.
Connecticut's surviving Republican districts cluster on the old ecclesiastical parish of ancient Woodbury—and Senate District 32 traces its bounds almost exactly. God's covenant and Providence are not abstractions.

Plano voters rejected financing for the Dallas Stars arena Tuesday, a setback for the project’s funding but not a fatal blow to the hockey team’s plans to move to the suburb. bit.ly/4izANKg

Insane: Scott Van Pelt mistakenly called Steelers icon Ben Roethlisberger and Browns QB Deshaun Watson "r*pists" on live television. "We talked a bit about the r*pists. Ben Roethlisberger in the building." 😱😱😱

Lamont swatted at a reporter's phone in Stamford. Fazio's answer: "I only hit the answers hard." Now that's how you take a question. 😂 #CTpolitics #Lamont #Fazio #CTGovernor

🔴⚖️ Just to remind everyone what angered Governor Ned Lamont to the point he smacked the camera in a female journalist's hand: @GovNedLamont's former Director of Communications and current campaign staff member, as well as a 2026 Democrat State Senate Candidate, Rob Blanchard, ignored a police car and verbal commands from a police officer in a construction zone. This journalist was just asking about it. That's what set Ned Lamont off. Rob Blanchard drove into the closed portion of South Main Street in Newtown and drove his Jeep Grand Cherokee right into a hole. Blanchard was issued an infraction for failure to obey any signal given by a fire or police officer directing traffic. Amybeth Laroche is the Republican candidate running for election against Blanche for the Connecticut State Senate to represent District 28.
this happened earlier today in STAMFORD. one of our reporters tried to ask @GovNedLamont a simple question for a story she's investigating and not only did @NedLamont not respond, but he tried to knock the camera out of her hand! crazy stuff @ryanfazio @CTGOP

Something has quietly changed about Halloween. When I was a kid, you just walked outside and trick-or-treated in your own neighborhood. Now parents drive their kids across town to the same few popular neighborhoods, while streets that used to be packed with kids sit completely empty. We didn’t just lose trick-or-treaters. We lost a little bit of what made neighborhoods feel like communities.

Ryan, a 21-year-old college senior who wanted to protect others for his career, should still be alive today. Under Gov. Lamont’s criminal sactuary policies Ryan’s killer could be convicted for manslaughter and still let out on the streets following his sentence instead of being transferred to federal authorities for removal from the state. Gov. Lamont continues to put politics and criminals ahead of common sense and safety. That policy attracts more of it. Ryan, just like Henryk Gudelski, Liam Rivera, Officer Whiteside, and other innocent citizens deserved better. Yet Lamont and other CT Dems will never call a press conference, lock arms and march, or run commercials in their memories. It’s wrong and it must change.
