Technical moats are over. All that’s left is: - the anointing - alliteration - using ladders as sermon illustrations
Technical moats are over. The only moats now are: - Rich parents - Being good-looking enough for people to watch you make content for money - Being funny

i'm preaching on AI at a church in florida this sunday. pastors… if you had 35 minutes to teach your people on this topic, what would you want them to hear about the world we're living in right now?

Great question, @growing_daniel 🚀 In today’s fast-paced, ever-evolving digital landscape, AI writing isn’t just “bad” — it’s an opportunity to unlock a deeper conversation about creativity. 🌟 Here’s the thing: it’s not about the words — it’s about the connection. 🤝 Let’s dive in: ✅ AI is a tool, not a replacement ✅ It’s all about synergy between human and machine ✅ The future of writing is collaborative 🔑 But here’s the kicker: maybe the real bad writing was the prompts we wrote along the way. 🤔 At the end of the day, whether you love it or hate it, one thing is certain — AI is here to stay, and that’s a beautiful thing. ✨ Let that sink in. 🙌 #AI #Writing #Innovation #ThoughtLeadership
Why is AI writing still so bad

Yes, without question. Also after a new pastor is found if that new pastor sees value.
Replying to @PulpitAI
@PulpitAI Would you support or approve a church using your product to have a deceased pastors work, unprocessed by the A.I. at the time of his death, to make discipleship material for said church until a new pastor could be found.

Whoever runs the @PulpitAI twitter account is saying some decently interesting stuff.
I’ve got a little theory that the response to AI in ministry almost directly maps to the generational leadership handoff and there are many downstream conclusions that could be made from that fact But it isn’t actually ready to discuss publicly yet

Pastors.... this @eriktorenberg essay is worth your time. His argument: the internet isn't downstream of culture anymore, it is culture. Language, politics, identity... all formed online first, experienced in the physical world second. He's 100% right. The church has a word for what he's describing. Formation. Not content or engagement, the slow habitual shaping of what a person loves and fears and reaches for. Augustine wrote about it. Dallas Willard wrote about it. Turns out start up founders and investors are writing about it too.... they just call it retention. Here's why this matter for pastors... By the time someone sits down in your church on Sunday, they've already been through a formation system that ran all week. It had no theological accountability, no interest in their soul, and significantly more hours with them than you get with them. That's not an argument against preaching. It's an argument for understanding what you're actually walking into when you stand up on Sunday. The congregation in front of you isn't a blank slate waiting for hyper personalized curated content. They're people mid-formation, by something you didn't author and can't fully see. No timeline can do what a pastor does. But a pastor who doesn't understand what the timeline is saying is going to be behind.

Since June of 2023 when my dumb idea for a side project @PulpitAI went viral (i still blame @ianharber & @PatrickKMiller_ for this btw) I’ve been asked literally thousands of times how churches should approach AI usage. So now, after having over 10k pastors upload over 300k sermons to our app and joining up with @Subsplash, who has been serving well over 20k+ churches with technology for 20 years… we feel like we can thoughtfully and humbly speak into what this should look like in a local church context. This will likely be a working document as things are changing rapidly, but here’s our free e-book: Church AI Policy Toolkit for Leaders I’ll link to it below.

Easter Sunday isn't just about attendance—it's about lives transformed. 🤍 But for most churches, the impact of the Easter sermon ends when the benediction is over. It doesn't have to be that way. 👇

Data without insight is just noise. 🔊 And many churches have plenty of data but very little clarity. You see the numbers, but do you see the discipleship? That’s where Trends AI comes in! ✨ Understand your data ✨ Visualize your data ✨ Talk with your data
