Long before Britpop's commercial peak, "Babies" helped establish Pulp as one of Britain's sharpest and most distinctive bands. Performing an acoustic version on MTV Most Wanted, Jarvis Cocker and the group showcased the storytelling, humour and observational songwriting that would soon propel them from cult favourites to mainstream success during the His 'n' Hers era.
