This film deserves a directors cut
#clayface had a ton of cut out scenes / deleted scenes
- 3 guys chase a homeless man and are warned of a monster in the tent. They laugh and go in anyways to meet their death. ( different opening scene )
- Matt dancing on the staircase as his shadow switches and shifts forms.
- Matt has flashbacks of his abusive father. Really building up the past he was running from.
- a scene in his apartment where his face molds over.
Rumor is they will be coming to dvd.

That's not how it works.
Superman Returns failed big time by grossing less than $400M WW in a $200M budget
Snyder cultists can only see things in black or white. Their entire understanding of a film comes from a false dichotomy
It doesn’t matter how many times you point out that he can loosen his code and not kill. Loosening a code is not synonymous with crossing a line
Replying to @Pure_Angloid
Why would he want to kill Superman if he was mentally stable and still had his strict code? It’s much more believable that he has fallen down a dark path, is mentally unstable, and thus has unwittingly lost his moral compass, in denial. But you want to preserve his moral purity.
The no kill rule can be broken and can be pushed to its limits
But as many people have pointed out, it’s more interesting to build up to him going to take his first life, rather than have him already kill just for “muh cool akshun scenez”

But DCEU Lex's characterization isn't the same as Birthright Lex; he got the looks but not the personality. Cause Birthright Lex grew up with Clark in Smallville.
So DCEU's Lex is just Riddler with Birthright Lex's design.
#RestoreTheSnyderVerse
Small reminder: It's a well-known fact that Jesse Eisenberg played perfectly comic-accurate Birthright Lex, but fans posting this compilation often forget to mention that some of those panels are from Secret Origin- comic that replaced Birthright in canon😉
The myth of studio “interference” with BvS
The only time the studio interfered was with Doomsday’s design
Cutting a runtime is a normal ask from studios, because it keeps work theatre schedules and maximised turnout
Snyder and his editor decided which scenes got cut, not WB
It’s Snyder’s own fault BvS failed in cinemas, because he felt that crucial scenes were less important than
- the knightmare scene/flash scene
- Lois and Clark fucking in a tub
- the uncut shot of Lex shoving a jolly rauncher in a guy’s mouth
Except this is wrong
The only resemblance he has is to Lex during a flashback scene 😭
For the main story of the comic Lex has his classic bald appearance
Also in terms of personality they’re completely different, you’ve clearly never read birthright
Also that’s a false comparison with the Gunn characters and you know it
Those latter characters are significantly less well known and don’t get much attention in the comics, barely appearing
Nowhere near the same as superman’s arch enemy

Because it's all visual spectacle and no substance. The characters are so dull and empty that Snyder fans to get to project whatever they want onto the blank canvas and find their own meaning from it
Snyder Praise Thread:
I realise I spend a lot of time going over a lot of the writing issues in MoS and BvS. As I’ve said a lot, my main issue isn’t with Snyder or his vision, but the execution of that vision and the poorly written plotlines
So, here’s some stuff I love
In addition to this, I admire the aim to try and adapt different parts of iconic characters. After rewatching BvS it’s clear that Snyder’s Batman is meant to be the “live long enough to see yourself become a villain”
Similarly, doing birthright Lex is an interesting choice
“You see the patterns”
Bro say you’re racist without saying you’re racist 😭

You got all kinds of agendas running on different industries. After a point you see the patterns, hence the fair enough part.
