You raise concerns about the influx of “asylum seekers,” and suddenly, you’re accused of being “xenophobic”.
You question the fairness of aspects of the halaal certification process, and once again, your concerns are dismissed with claims that you’re being paid.
Why is it so difficult for Black South Africans to raise legitimate concerns without having their motives questioned? We should be able to ask questions, challenge processes and demand accountability without being silenced or dismissed.
Our concerns deserve to be heard, not discredited. 💔

Homba Mazaleni has officially been announced as the winner of the Top Billing Presenter Search 2026, proudly brought to you by Lucky Fish.
With roots in Gonubie, East London, and rural Dutywa, her Homba made name for herself as a sports content creator before auditioning for Top Billing.
She holds a degree in Human Movement Science from Nelson Mandela University and pursued postgraduate studies in Sport Science and Biokinetics.
Top Billing airs every Thursday at 19:00 on S3, with repeats on Sundays at 13:00 on S3 and Tuesdays at 21:30 on SABC1. The show is also available on SABC+.

BREAKING NEWS | Over R40-million in illicit cigarettes have been seized by police in Durban.
A highly sensitive operation - led by national Crime Intelligence members, with assistance from the Durban Metro Police Tactical Support Unit and the Hawks - took place earlier today.
Two storage facilities, in Avoca and Briardene, were hit after a driver for the syndicate was intercepted by police.
Search warrants for the cigarette distribution centres had already been granted based on active investigations.
Both searches resulted in the recovery of about R41-million in illicit cigarettes.
SARS Customs and Excise was called in to assist at the scenes, which are still being processed.
The matter is still under investigation, with arrests expected soon.

You must show the same energy in protecting water infrastructure vandalised by water-tank mafias. Deploy the army to deal decisively with construction mafias too.
