we're analyzing the whole crypto options market right now, onchain included. the cards are getting redistributed. more people are finally naming the real problem out loud: liquidation. and how little has actually been built against it. liquidation isn't a property of lending. it's a property of debt. that's the assumption @StormbitFinance is built to remove, in lending and in the vaults we're building for yield. and while we're here: TVL is not a safety rating. it tells you what a protocol attracted, not how it behaves when the market moves. read the mechanism. moneyness.xyz was step one, the data. what comes next lets you use options without touching options. no strikes, no expiries, no put and call. 70% of onchain options flow today is still a single leg, which tells you exactly how many people want to build structures themselves.

STORMBIT LABS. NOTICE TO OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR COUNTERPARTIES There was no hack. Nothing was stolen. Nobody quit. Our treasury drained anyway, and it drained for months before anyone thought to look. The cause was not fraud. It was one engineer, acting alone and acting in what he believed were the company's interests, running a systematic options program against the treasury. Selling BTC calls. Every Friday. Since March. Booked in the ledger under "income." He was proud of it. He mentioned it once in a standup and the room nodded, because "I've been generating yield on idle treasury" is the second-most-responsible sentence a person can say out loud, and nobody wanted to be the one who asked the follow-up question. He took whatever price was on the screen. Week after week, he sold for a few dollars a contract while the same contract, same strike, same expiry, same venue, same hour, was on offer a few clicks away for many multiples of that. This was not incompetence. He had no way to see it. There is no screen that puts on-chain and CEX side by side. There is no screen that separates the quotes that are firm from the quotes that are decoration. He took the first price offered and called it a market. Given the foregoing, the Board has resolved 1) we are not winding down. the runway is intact and nobody is being laid off. 2) we are keeping the engineer. 3) we are building the screen he should have had. we kept him because when we sat him down to explain his mistake, we couldn't. the information did not exist. we went looking for the thing he should have been able to open, and found an empty chair where it belonged. we didn't fire the engineer. we fired the excuse. so we built it. moneyness reads every options venue we can get to and shows what is actually trading, where, and what the same trade costs at each of them. firm quotes marked firm. indicative marked indicative. no login. no token. no waitlist. moneyness.xyz. built by stormbit labs. the most expensive thing in an options market is the price you never saw.

🚨ANNOUNCEMENT🚨 Excited to share that @themetalboyrick is joining Prism as co-founder and CTO! He studied CS at @Tsinghua_Uni and spent the last few years at @tokopedia, building the app that over 10 million people used every day. He's also won 6 hackathons, which is how we knew he ships fast. The funny part is that he was a Prism user before this. He was in a coffee shop in Saigon holding a 500k note for a 25k cà phê sữa đá, and the shop had no change. Everyone around him was just scanning a QR to pay. He couldn't do that, because scanning here needs a Vietnamese bank account and foreigners can't easily get one. So he opened Prism and scanned it like everyone else. He'd found the problem he wanted to spend the next few years on, and he's leading everything technical at Prism from here

who is building pre-ipo exposure right now?

1/ Everyone in onchain finance is hunting for the next primitive right now. @VitalikButerin is writing about options-based lending, and a new "no-liquidation" protocol ships almost every week. So, out of curiosity more than anything, we pulled the numbers. All on-chain options today: about $63M of TVL, spread across roughly 60 protocols. That's the whole sector, sharing what a single mid-size vault holds on its own. The next move isn't the primitive. It's distribution. 🧵

12/ The obvious objection: isn't Coinbase→Base the real distribution winner, then? For retail, yes. Base owns that funnel, and it isn't even close. But distribution actually splits three ways: 🔹Retail funnels (Base wins, no contest) 🔹Institutional + RWA funnels 🔹Agent-commerce funnels A no-liquidation loan on a tokenized equity is not a retail meme. It needs the last two, and that's the lane Mantle built for, not Base.

13/ So here's the falsifiable call, not just a vibe. The next winners won't be the cleverest no-liquidation contract out there. They'll be the ones that pair it with two things: a real asset worth holding (RWAs, tokenized equities), and an embedded funnel that puts it in front of users. Watch for the convergence that's already starting: Hypercall writes options on tokenized SPCX, and Mantle distributes those same equities. Primitive plus distribution, same table. That's the move, and @Mantle_Official is building for it. Full deep dive 🔗 xitter.cf/Q3Labs/status/20722712…
