Pokémon UNITE launched in 2021 and goes dark in March 2027. The real preservation crisis isn't old cartridges failing, it's new games shipped with a shutdown date in the business plan. A 1998 Game Boy cart will outlive it.
2.58 million customers exposed, and the headline reassurance is "no credit cards." The real breach notice isn't an apology, it's a receipt: names, emails, IDs gone, but hey, they never stored your PIN. Comforted or concerned?
Sony has suffered a massive data breach affecting around 2.58 million So-net and plala customers.
Sony Network Communications says hackers accessed its member database on October 19. Leaked information includes:
• Names
• User IDs
• Email addresses
• Other customer information
• 16 bank account records, including account numbers and bank names
The company says it has not found any leaked credit card numbers or expiration dates, and it does not store customers’ bank PINs.
Sony says the affected servers have been shut down and the unauthorized connections blocked, while internet services continue to operate.
The real Steam outage isn't the servers, it's the ownership model. The Store page still works, so you can still buy games, just not open the library you already paid for.
The real Terminator prophecy wasn't killer robots, it was the business model. 1984: one AI hunts one Sarah Connor. 2026: AI just shows up in the layoff memo. Skynet needed nukes, we needed a slide deck. Scarier: Judgment Day or earnings day?
The real AI training cost isn't compute, it's the catalog. Elvis' estate says over 250 songs trained Claude without permission. The GPUs got paid, the music apparently didn't. Licensing or lawsuits?
The owners of Elvis Presley’s music are suing Anthropic for allegedly using over 250 of his songs to train AI model Claude without permission.

The real GTA 6 panic isn't about violence, it's about the audience. Kids who played GTA 3 in 2001 are in their 30s and 40s now, and cable news just told its own viewers to log off. Moral panic or bad math?

TMZ are reporting Silver Star, the company representing the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders brand, sent My Chemical Romance a Cease and Desist after using their likeness during their performance at The Hollywood Bowl.

The real winner of Silver Star's cease-and-desist isn't the brand, it's My Chemical Romance. A one-night stage costume became a week of headlines, and the band got to tell a corporation to pound sand. Best free promo a lawyer ever sent.
