After a wet start to the day, it turned into a nice afternoon for Leadership, signals and some air rifle shooting with y9 cadets. Was interesting to reflect how this group haven't been to @farchynys in y7 due to COVID.

What was on offer today at Holcombe Moor 2022 for @HollyLodgeCCF and @QMGSCCF? Long Range shoot, Section Attack and a 10k exercise. Finish off the day with everyone's favourite...weapon cleaning!
Temperatures return to normal so we are back to our planned training, trying to still give everyone the #CadetExperience. Exercise, range and expedition today. Followed by beloved weapon cleaning!

Another day of adapted activities at Holcombe Moor 2022. @HollyLodgeCCF and @QMGSCCF cadets took part in another ,22 range, expedition preparation, harbour drills and 'Gold Standard' model building. Exercise starts tonight!
A low paced day today! Scorching in the sun but not too bad inside or in the shade (it's all relative!)
Breeze has arrived bringing the change of the weather
@HollyLodgeCCF
CO out on some welfare checks of CFAV and cadets (the adults work harder than the cadets 😉)
Free flowing water, juice and sun cream. Nice and cool in the shade of the woodblocks. Roasting on the open range!
Some cadets practicing proper soldier skills 😴😴

@HollyLodgeCCF and @QMGSCCF summer camp 2022 at Holcombe Moor. 100+ cadets will be tested this week with cadet activities and by the weather! Ice breakers done, kit issued, everyone fed. WHTs to finish off now.
Arrived with @HollyLodgeCCF for annual camp. Cadets settled in, unpacked, fed and now starting some evening training. All preped ready for adaptions over next few days in the heat, but it's a relief to be here at last after postponing twice due to covid!
Lots of bird song this morning on Ex Dawn Chorus.
Now the cadets are up, fed, and back to training. Thanks to @BSquadronRY for assistance and bringing some fancy kit to look at!
CO and Cadets remembering some of the individual @QMGS1554Alumni on the @CWGC Tyne Cot memorial during the @QM1554 battlefields tour.
