کوئی قانونی اصلاح ملک میں شفاف الیکشن کی ضمانت نہیں دے سکتی۔ الیکشن ایکٹ 2017 اور آئین میں الیکشن کمیشن کی خودمختاری کے حوالے سے درج شقیں دنیا بھر میں مثالی ہیں۔ اس سب کے ہوتے ہوئے بد ترین الیکشن کا انعقاد! کوئی قانون ریاستی جبر اور جھوٹ کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتا۔ جب معلوم نامعلوم جھوٹے فارم 45 بھریں، بیلٹ بکس اٹھا لے جائیں، ریاستی عملہ جھوٹ کا بے ضمیر معاون ہو جائے اور پھر عدلیہ پر بھی جبر کا قبضہ ہو تو الیکشن کے قانون میں کوئی ترمیم الیکشن کو شفاف نہیں بنا سکتی۔

No government or international institution should fund Pakistan’s regime while it defies Supreme Court orders, subjects its democratically elected leader to isolation and torture, and opens fire on peaceful protesters.

🇵🇰 Pakistan's second periodic review at the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) 80th session will take place today and tomorrow.
Amnesty International has highlighted that Pakistan has not taken substantive steps to incorporate economic, social and cultural rights into its domestic legislation as binding rights, and has raised serious concerns regarding the authorities' ability to ensure compliance with the principle of non-discrimination (article 2(2)), right to just and favourable conditions of work (article 7), right to form and join trade unions (article 8), and the right to health (article 12).

My mother @DrUzma_KhanPK and my aunts @Aleema_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK have been held in Kot Lakhpat Jail since 21 September under Section 3 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960. No charge. No trial.
Yesterday my father @AhadMKhan spoke to the media in Lahore and briefed members of the Punjab Assembly. What he told them:
– All three sisters are being held in solitary confinement.
– @Noreen_KhanPK, who is in her seventies, had no heart problems before jail. This week she spent two days at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. No one told the family.
– For three years they carried their brother's words out of Adiala to the people. He believes that is why they are inside.
His question: "If these women did not break, how will Khan break?"
Charge them or release them.

No one has seen or heard from my father since August, when he explicitly said that he was being tortured and that the regime was trying to kill him like Egypt’s government did Morsi. The UN Special Rapporteur on torture has repeatedly stated that his treatment amounts to torture. Pakistan’s fascist regime, led by military dictator Asim Munir, continue to ignore the Supreme Court order from August for my father to be assessed and treated at the private Shifa International Hospital, as well as for regular access to family visits and access to his lawyers. It is clear that they are trying to kill him as he is by far the most popular political figure in the country, and they fear him. If the worst happens, no one should make any mistake who is responsible. It is Asim Munir with the approval of the illegitimate Pakistani government. Every government that continues to legitimise this regime will be complicit in this and the resulting chaos and destabilisation it causes in the region. No state that is engaging in friendly relations with this fascist Pakistani regime can truly claim to uphold the values of democracy or human rights.

Today, the Punjab government confirmed before the Lahore High Court that my mother, Aleema Khan @Aleema_KhanPK and my aunts, Dr Uzma Khan @DrUzma_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK Noreen Niazi, have been detained for another 30 days under the MPO.
What is particularly disturbing is that, according to the government’s own submission, the extension was approved on 7 October, yet only disclosed before the court on 26 October.
Why was this order not disclosed during the Lahore High Court hearings on 9th and 12th October? Why was our family kept in the dark, even after their original 30-day detention periods had expired?
For over a month, @ImranKhanPTI’s three sisters have been held in prison, denied access to their families and legal counsel, simply for standing by their brother, Imran Khan.
As a son and nephew, I ask: What threat do three women pose to the state that warrants another month of imprisonment? What are the authorities so afraid of?
The law should protect citizens from arbitrary detention, not become an instrument of persecution.
We demand their immediate release, immediate access to their families and lawyers, and full disclosure of the legal grounds for their continued detention.
We will keep fighting for justice. We will not be silenced.

And when @PTIofficial supporters hit the streets, many were arrested, beaten, and even killed!
Imran Khan’s sons say they haven't spoken to their father in over 6 months, nobody has seen him for 2 months, and they're increasingly worried about his deteriorating health.
I asked them the hardest question of all: Do they still believe they’ll ever see their father again?
Qasim admitted, he has very little hope, but they will never stop fighting
I told them both I wouldn't give up hope.

سچ بتاو کیا جیل کے باہر یہ ممکن تھا؟ کہ آپ تفہیم القرآن کی چھ جلدیں پڑھ پاتے، تین سال تو درکنار تیس سال میں بھی دلجمعی کے ساتھ نہ پڑھ پاتے؟ کیا یہ ممکن تھا کہ پورا تیسواں پارہ، سورہ مزمل، سورہ یسین، سورہ ملک اور کئی رکوع حفظ کر پاتے؟، درجنوں موضوعات پر بیسوں کتابیں پڑھ لیں جو مطالعہ جیل کے اندر کیا ہے وہ جیل سے باہر ہرگز " ممکن نہ تھا
میں سوچتا ہوں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہاری زندگی کو مکمل طور پر ضائع ہونے سے بچانے کے لیے، تمہاری دینی و دنیاوی تعلیم اور تربیت کے لیے تمہیں آج ایک مشکل وقت میں ڈالا ہے جو بظاہر ایک ڈراؤنا خواب ہے، مگر ان شاء اللہ یہی وقت تمہاری باقی کی انشاءاللہ لمبی زندگی کا ایک سہانا، پرلطف اور بامقصد سفر بنے گا اور ضرور بنے گا۔اسی بنیاد پر اپنے کردار اور افکار کی تعمیر جاری رکھو۔
میرے پیارے بیٹے! تمہارا ایمان تمہاری امنگوں کو جِلا بخشے، تمہارا علم تمہارے عمل کی رہنمائی کرے، اور تمہاری شفقت تمہاری کامیابیوں کو بامقصد بنائے۔ اللہ تمہاری کاوشوں میں برکت دے، ہر گزرتا دن تمہیں بہترین صحت سے نوازے، ہر گزرتا دن تمہاری حکمت میں اضافہ اور پختگی عطا فرمائے، اور تمہیں دوسروں کے لیے خیر اور دین و دنیا میں بھلائی کا سرچشمہ بنائے۔
میرے آسودگی کے لئیے یہی کافی ہے کہ تمہاری جیل کے اندر صحیح سمت میں پروان چڑھتی یہ نشوونما ہے جو میرے دل کو مسرت سے بھر دیتی ہے۔ میں پوری امید اور اعتماد کے ساتھ زندگی کے ہر شعبے میں تمہارے اس کردار کا منتظر ہوں جو ان شاء اللہ تم سرانجام دو گے۔ اور آنے والے دنوں میں بھی نہ تو ذاتی مفادات کی خاطر اصولوں پر سمجھوتہ کرو گے اور نہ ہی ڈرو گے اور دبو گے۔ ان شاء اللہ مستقبل تمہارا ہے۔
آج جو سیاستدان، جج اور جرنیل تمہارے ساتھ زیادتی میں ملوث ہیں، وہ چند سالوں بعد یا شاید اس سے بھی پہلے، میرے ہمراہ قبروں میں ہوں گے، اور اللہ کے حضور جب ہم سب پہنچیں گے ان کا گریبان ہوگا اور میرا ہاتھ ہوگا، اور اللہ تعالی سب بڑا منصف اور انصاف اور حق پر فیصلہ دینے والا ہے۔

It has been 30 days since my mother and my aunts, Dr. Uzma and Noreen Niazi, were unlawfully detained under the MPO. Throughout their detention at Kot Lakhpat Jail, they have been denied access to family and legal counsel.
No one, especially women, should be subjected to such treatment. With the detention order now ending, they must be released immediately.
