The initial Goldberg over Cat is good for chemistry purposes. Bombay and the OG Ducks won with and trusted him. Goldberg losing his spot right away makes the fracture between the two groups worse. Just happened that Julie had Captain Blood not Bombay to try and fix this.

I would agree — but also you can’t argue with results I guess? USA probably doesn’t need a shootout to win if Gaffney is in goal but a championship is a championship

They also allow the Russ shot to count ,when he's over the red line as goalie. So Bombay or Hendricks may have had the officials in his back pocket.
