This #SEM has both @OxInst #EDS and #EBSD detectors that can do compositional and crystallographic #analysis of samples. We also have a @Quorum_UK #Cryo-SEM system on this microscope! Here is our #JEOL 6610 and an image of a needle and thread taken on this instrument!

Uni of Leeds, UK, and NTU, Pakistan, looked at fiber damage in textiles after repeated washing cycles. SEM images were taken in a JSM-6610 before and after washing cycles. The specimens were sputter-coated with gold in a Q150RS from @Quorum_UK. journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf…

Stem cells can be used to produce cultured meat for human consumption. This study shows that tissues from FAP cells mimics beef fat in terms of taste. Samples were coated with gold on a SC7620 by @Quorum_UK before imaging in a JSM-IT200 from JEOL. rdcu.be/cIBea
