Thr Dream have shot more FTs in every game. 130-78 total, & ppl think it's a conspiracy 🤣. Then the conspiracies don't make sense because why would they allow Reese to make the Finals if "they" don't want her to win? Wouldn't "they" rig it for Caitlin?
"Ungrow the game" is real
💯
Welp, time for an Andrew rant because I’m incensed by this finals situation.
To be clear, I have no sourcing on this, and these are my opinions on a situation of two teams(GS,ATL) that I don’t cover.
So let’s get this all out in one spot, the WNBA are choosing to play a game at 12:30PM(9:30AM pacific) so that they can sell 14,000 more tickets at State Farm arena… then in almost every press release mention they “had to” because the Hawks play the second game of a back to back…
To be clear
-The Dream have their own arena, which according to the arena schedule had nothing going on Thursday evening.
-The NBA schedule and WNBA playoff schedule have been out for months and this could have been figured out in September.
-This isn’t a Hawks problem to solve, they don’t share venues or owners.
Because of this the game will be on USA, SyFy, and E competing with day-time soap operas.
The League is choosing to have a close out game 6 for the first championship in Valkyries history to be played at 9:30AM for their fans, and to have Angel Reese defend the Dream home court at 12:30PM…
To pull the curtain back all the TV contracts for playoffs are already set in stone, the league technically doesn’t make any extra money based off the ratings, so financially, the league isn’t going to be hurt by this decision.
In fact they are likely going to make 250,00 extra bucks from ticket sales for the extra 14,000 seats.
The primary owner of the Atlanta Dream has an estimated net worth of 8 billion dollars.

For the Valkyries fans, and the Dream fans, and all WNBA fans… they get to use a sick day or their PTO to watch the game in person, or sneak it on their lunch break, play it back on replay, or just miss the game.
The bars get to lose the revenue from a hometown team being in the finals.
The reporters get to be rushed out of an arena post game and likely lose a ton of access
The Valkeryies players get to celebrate on a practice court if they win the championship
All for what, 250,000k….
It’s literally insulting to all the players, fans, reporters, team employees, and people that pour so much time and effort into growing a game for a league and a team to value 250k in ticket rev over offering a prime time game and growing the game.
As Women's sports grow, that means dealing with Women coming in with their logic & gender war obsession.
Even with the Hawks being helpful & accommodating WITH THEIR ARENA, it's still their fault somehow
This is why I wanted the WNBA to separate from the NBA when the CBA expired
These WNBA takes going on are crazy. The way y'all want the Billion dollar business to move around & take a back seat to a growing, but 3rd level league that doesn't even run on its own is insane.
Lucky the Thrashers don't play in Atlanta anymore, it would be a bigger problem 🤣
I was going to booo this because the original with the college coaches clears it, but I gave it a slight pass once I saw Russini on the sax. Got a small chuckle out of me 🤣
💯
I can't believe ppl are trying to take a victory lap on this. The WNBA did 99.999% of the rescheduling & no one questioned whether they had to. Players lost time off.
The 0.001% is the Hawks delaying the game to help with changing the court, in which they don't have to.
Replying to @DrunkenNo_Odle @YallJustDontKno
Yall were talking about moving a NBA season opening game to another arena and moving a sold out concert…they changed the date and times of the WNBA games and the Hawks pushed tip back 30 mins. None of what you said happened
The Atlanta Dream arena issue gave me a migraine with the dumb takes. You want Women's sports to grow, but it's going to come with more illogical, victim like, emotional opinions. If u see "MNBA", block & run! 🤣💯
But shout out to the Women who are legitimately trying to learn
I learned during the Cassie trial that Women have a way out of everything.
Coerced, biologically weak, postpartum, groomed, trauma response, trauma bonding, hormonal, psychological, physical, fawning, mentally intimidated, financially manipulated, fear, Stockholm syndrome, etc.
this is what is so amazing about sexual misconduct accusations
any evidence is proof that the allegation is true, even evidence that the allegation is not true
accuser’s story stays the same? must be true bc the story is consistent
accuser’s story keeps changing? must be true bc trauma fries your memory
accuser never spoke to the accused again? must be true bc there was clearly bad blood
accuser dated the accused and remained best friends for years after? must be true bc victims often comfort their abusers
it’s more or less an entirely unfalsifiable allegation, which is why it’s the perfect thing to deploy before an election or when someone is up for a promotion
in 20 years, everyone will just be born with an allegation
Damn. Sometimes it's just your turn to get dragged with the spotlight on you

UConn went on a 9 year championship drought after she became a starter and now the Lynx have not won a championship since she was drafted
All the fan did was point at her? Because that's all I'm seeing her say in the video.
C'mon A'ja. That's weak 💯
A'ja Wilson exchanged words with a fan in Indy after this play.
Wilson was assessed a technical foul and the fan was removed from their seat.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
ESPN stated the fan was removed from their seat after exchanging words with A'ja Wilson, but the Indiana Fever said security determined no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct and the fan was not removed from the arena.

Been some pushback on this tweet
Of course we want more Black shows, but should they stay on forever? In general 5 seasons is about the max. That's around the time ppl lose interest
For example, how much of our great memories of Martin & Living Single are from their Season 5s?
