"Let's just say that I would imagine that those are the terms that it's being thought in by just about everybody" – at College Station, TX
This is it!
Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called out artists who turn their concerts into political rallies, saying:
“Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their BULLSH*T.”
Do you agree with James? Should musicians keep politics out of concerts, or should artists use the stage to speak about what they believe in?
Let’s debate. What do you think?

STUD!
Y'all, Mike Ditka has passed away. He was a trace of Texas, being that he played for the Cowboys for three years, retired as a player with the team in 1973, then worked as an assistant coach under Tom Landry for nine years. I'm not going to go into all of the details of his career as you can read them elsewhere, but I did want to tell y'all a funny personal story.
Back in the days when I was a network administrator, one of my friends and I used to ask each other ridiculous questions based around the concept of Mike Ditka fighting whatever silly thing we could come up with, then asking specious questions about the scenario. I think it's a riff on the old Saturday Night Live "Da Bears" comedy sketch. So I'd be like "Who would win in a fight, Ditka, or 57 drunk Dalmations?" or whatever and my friend would say "does Ditka have liverwurst in his pocket?" or something dumb. Anyway, it was MIke Ditka who would always be the winner in whatever cockamamie situation because, hey, he was Mike freakin' Ditka.
So one day my friend walks into my office and said "I have the ultimate Ditka fight scenario. Who would win in a fight between Ditka and a freight train ..."
"Come on, man," I interrupted ... "you know it's Ditka.
"Wait," he said ... "I didn't tell you where the train is running. It's running from Cleveland to Pittsbugh .."
"Dude," I inerrupted again, "it's always Ditka. You know that."
"Wait," he said, "I didn't tell you that the train is loaded with Polish sausage."
Uh oh. THAT made things interesting. Ditka, or a freight train running from Cleveland to Pittsburgh, loaded with Polish sausage? I had to admit that this last detail made it a very close battle, indeed.
I puzzled over it for about 30 seconds before I finally said "Ditka, but just barely."
That was just the kind of guy Mike Ditka was. A tough SOB. RIP Mike Ditka
