I tweeted this earlier but I fear some people misunderstand. I wanted to highlight my (and others’) experience as a match-going fan at the minute.
These are 9 things that make me feel out of touch with the club I love.

There must be absolutely thousands of fans every week who go and watch their side knowing they will either be going down or will just hover around mid-table and win nothing. They all still turn up. Wonder why? 🤔
It’s staggering that:
A) any fan of any team could think it’s ‘pointless’ watching your team.
B) someone claims City couldn’t stay up with a 40-point deduction. They’d realistically need 80 points to beat the drop and in many seasons, could fall a few short of even that.
If you read the article, he didn’t.

Thought there were some questionable performances today.
Gvardiol was very poor. Enzo wasn’t poor but I’m just not overly sure what he offers sometimes. Doku wasn’t bad but never quite got going. Haaland anonymous.
Don’t think, at home, we can be benching Cherki and Foden.
Some very unusual decisions today but this was probably the worst of them.
The referee had a ‘mare all afternoon to be fair.

The handball rules are garbage.
If a player miscontrols a ball, leading to a handball, it should be a free-kick/penalty.
If he uses BOTH hands to control the ball, accidental or otherwise, it should *obviously* be a free-kick/penalty.

100% going anyway. Clearly couldn’t lie and was visibly uncomfortable. Didn’t want to be a traitor and managed until the penultimate episode playing the role just fine.

People outside of the club won’t get it, but @lukestanley03 is spot on here.
We saw it. We experienced it. Now, someone will try and erase it but it happened and it doesn’t matter to us.
They *want* it to matter to us so it punishes us as fans, but they’ll never take it away.

I honestly think Mike Keegan saying on Stick To Football, that United’s downfall is down to the presence of City, is one of the funniest things anyone’s ever said.
Surely, this does plenty to prove the point about the ‘red cartel’.
United are useless but still able to spend tons every summer, fail and start again. Arsenal failed repeatedly but still built a title-winning side with big money.
Villa and Newcastle made the CL and got gutted.
