A little insight into life in Robin Hood's Bay this month in @readersdigestUK. Also pieces from Jane at the bookshop and James & Freya of Bramblewick Bistro. Community shines through all 3 contributions.
The Cinder Track walk to Raindale Slack on the way to Whitby.
My favourite place in May for a lovely show of bluebells.
6.10am however is not my favourite time to leave the house! Though glad I did.

Happy Candlemas & Groundhog Day!
We may not have Punxsutawney Phil but I wonder what the worm thinks?
“If Candlemas day be dry and fair,
The half o' winter's to come & mair;
If Candlemas day be wet and foul,
The half o' winter's gane at Yule.”
Either way, spring awaits us all.
Happy February 1st, Imbolc of old!
A time of weather diving. Will the Gaelic Cailleach (divine hag or old woman) be out gathering firewood on a fine day because there is more to come or will foul weather keep her in & winter will soon be passed?

Happy February 1st, Imbolc of old! A time of weather divining betwixt winter solstice & spring equinox. Will the Gaelic Cailleach (divine hag or old woman) be out gathering firewood on a fine day (more winter to come) or will the weather be foul & winter done? What do you reckon?
An hour or so before dusk descends, a nice walk on the Cinder Track provides just the tonic to end the working day.

Cliff erosion at Bay has brought increasing change and a need to be very wary. The small fall in the video shows how quickly a drop can happen.
Please keep your distance from the cliff face.

A bit too windy to set the camera outside so this 2 minute timelapse (x30) is taken through a window.
Allowed me to watch it with a nice cuppa instead of bracing against the wind though.
Enjoy.
