“There comes an end to all things; the most capacious measure is filled at last; and this brief condescension to evil finally destroyed the balance of my soul.” Herein, my last post on this platform...
An addition to our Remembrance Service @HelloFreemens today thanks to the wonderful Mrs L.
Good call, Jackie Brambles @GHRSurrey playing a fab @springsteen track from The Rising tonight. Listening to ‘Waitin’ on a Sunny Day’ felt like a Sunday treat from @simonmayo!
Sitting in a darkening room listening to the wondrous @roxymusic @bryanferry (Isaac, a former pupil!) Sirens on vinyl. Proof, if it were ever needed, that @simonmayo is not only the best DJ on the planet but also has the best concept in playing album tracks. Take your pick, Simon
Hoping @springsteen plays tribute to @HelloFreemens pupil @JoeStrummer at Wembley by opening with #LondonCalling
Dear Gareth
Thank you. You have taken Dear @England to two consecutive finals at the Euros and a quarter final at the World Cup. You have made England football stand proud. UTV!
Another morning at Okehampton. The officers are wondering how CCF cadets @HelloFreemens will see clay pigeons this morning 😳
The morning awaits @HelloFreemens CCF cadets in beautiful Devon (home county of @Olliewatkin_11)!
Fantastic to watch the semi-final with CCF cadets from @HelloFreemens at Okehampton Training Camp along with cadets from several other schools. Unsurprisingly, students from @solsch1560 , like me, were particularly chuffed with @AVFCOfficial @Olliewatkin_11 winner! UTV!!
Guildhall @cityoflondon preparing for The Band of The Royal Yeomanry and the Honourable Artillery Company. Pleased to represent @HelloFreemens Hoping the #britishweather holds!
‘Forgive me for not believing the crocodile tears of independent schools now…’ @wesstreeting - is this your way of proving that your Party’s policy is not based on the politics of envy?
One of the best parts of my job is hosting @AshteadRotary for the Cherished Car Parade that starts @HelloFreemens ahead of Ashtead Village Day. My ride today, courtesy of the wonderful Adrian, was a fabulous Bentley…
Representing @societyofheads @ASCL_UK Council. Whatever sector, you will have become a teacher because you care about children’s outcomes. To this end, the much-needed improvement in schools should not be at the expense of other children’s wellbeing. #educationmatters For ALL.
Pleasure to spend time at Headley Old Freemen’s Cricket Club this afternoon celebrating the legacies of two former players - Anthony Bowell and David Richardson - who gave so much to the sport and the club. Lovely to catch up with @HelloFreemens former Head, David Haywood, too.
Great pleasure to talk to Whittington pupils @hellofreemens about @DscvrGlstr Sir Richard Whittington this morning whose legacy underpins the incredible work done by @CityandLivery to this day in @cityoflondon and is an essential part of the narrative of our School.
So privileged to lead @HelloFreemens Tonight’s @freemensmusic concert was stunning. Can’t believe I’ve heard a Year 11 pupil pull off Elgar’s Cello Concerto and an U6 play Schumann’s Piano Concerto with such aplomb: both supported by astonishing school musicians. Bravo!
