I’m not at liberty to share all the details, but suffice it to say that many people rejoicing over this have given a completely incorrect rendering of what occurred and why. ICE did not come to his home. This whole thing is a paperwork issue that they’re working to resolve. Samuel Sey is a good man. As you can imagine, his wife, who’s at home with their 3 babies, is devastated and also trusting the Lord to help them find a resolution quickly. Please pray for all of the Seys. Pray for wisdom and provision. Those celebrating because they don’t like something Sam said are slanderous backbiters and gossips. Pay them no mind

Swing hard at strikes. Take the rest. Youth baseball rewards any contact, so a slow, safe swing feels like insurance against striking out. It buys weak contact that won't hold up as the game gets older. Don't trade speed for contact. Train them together. Give your hitter a smaller target at full speed: the Youth Underload Skinny Smash Training Bat (a skinnier, lighter barrel) and Mini Hitting Plyos. Square one up and it carries. Miss it and it spins and dies. Then play Go / No Go off front flips. Feed about half in the zone and half out. +2 for a hard-hit line drive that leaves the infield. +1 for a ball correctly taken. -1 for taking a strike. Hit the ball flush, hard, and ideally far. Follow for more youth drills and games, and the science behind them.

🎯 Accurate
Let me know how accurate you think this is? I have been on these platforms since they started. Sooooo here is my completely unscientific breakdown of baseball on social Media After 20+ years…. Instagram: If the drill doesn’t involve 14 cones, 3 resistance bands, and dramatic slow motion, does it even work? Facebook: Where a dad who coached 9U in 2007 confidently explains why everything you’re teaching is wrong. X (Twitter): Where 12 brilliant coaches argue over two inches of foot placement while a guy with 37 followers tells everyone they’re idiots. TikTok: Teach me how to become a Division I shortstop in 17 seconds. And please add some cool music. YouTube: Where someone actually wants to learn baseball… until the 45-second commercial interrupts the explanation.

It still boggles my mind that so many people work in a profession whose purpose is to influence search engines, and the same people have no interest in learning how the search engine they're trying to influence actually works. I would never hire a mechanic who couldn't tell me how my engine worked, but just followed a checklist.

If you’re coaching FOR the dogpile, you’ll miss the mark + miss the opportunity to impact. Instead, coach for the PEOPLE in the dogpile! It’s about their performances, their experiences, what they will learn & take with them into their lives. Always bleed GREEN! 🐻⚾️💚

What the Carney Liberals are doing here is far more cynical and sinister than many realize: they are holding people with mental illness hostage in order to "trade" for people with dementia. The Liberals could have voted for @TamaraJansenMP's Bill C-218 to protect people with mental illness. The NDP did. Instead, they voted against it but promised a bill that would eliminate eligibility for those with mental illness as a sole condition but also expand it to those with dementia who have signed an "advanced directive." "Advanced directives" mean a person can be killed without contemporaneous consent. The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities explicitly warned the government against legalizing it. Even the Trudeau government rejected it. It is enormously complex, and will take a long debate. Except the March 2027 deadline expanding eligiblity to people with mental illness is looming. That's five months from now. The Liberals are going to say we don't have time to debate advanced directives because we need to rush the bill through to protect people with mental illness. In other words: Give us people with dementia, or people with mental illness are going to get hurt. They need to keep the euthanasia happy. They don't want to admit unqualified moral defeat. So instead, they're going to play games and bargain with the lives of the vulnerable. It's one of the most disgusting things I've seen in Canadian politics in a very long time.
Today, @MarjoriePLC and I announced our government intends to introduce legislation later this fall to update Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) laws on mental illness and advance requests.

First thing said at every tryout, even 10U and 11U. Before warmups, before throwing, before stations. "The evaluation began 10 minutes ago. How did you arrive? How did you get ready? Was Mom carrying your stuff for you?" Then a reminder during throwing. "Every throw matters."
Every HS and college player in America (even 10 and up players these days) … and their parents …need to read these words of a long time MLB Scout. Why? Players don’t seem to believe it when us coaches tell them the same thing. Some do. Most don’t.

If you're a Christian leader who's had an affair, it's ok to go sell insurance. Or build houses. Or drive Uber. You should repent and be fully restored to community within the life of the church. But you don't have to get back on stage. You don't need to teach. If can't serve without being in the spotlight, maybe you weren't really serving in the first place.
