So Herbert slides, sitting upright instead of falling all the way back to protect himself, and Sneed gets flagged for trying to jump over him to avoid contact. What a bunch of bull.

To be clear, I’m not disputing that it’s a flag by the letter of the law. I’m saying it’s bull when the QB’s own recklessness makes it nearly impossible for the defender to avoid the penalty. The NFL needs to get rid of these slides. If QBs want to run, they need to fall forward. These slides are more dangerous than simply taking the contact.
